  1. I am also considering getting 25c tyres. How much difference do they make concerning comfort?
  2. My buddy had to take to the gutter on Saturday with his road bike as a truck came bearing down on him from behind. As he came into town, the traffic cops had pulled him over and when my buddy confronted the driver, he was told by the driver that he has no right on the road and the next time the truck will take him out. The attitude on our roads are getting worse and worse.
  3. And not everybody has one
  4. I would definately have a look at TIME , Bianchi and of course LOOK, but is also quite pricey
  5. This is the only tyre I use for training and racing. I very seldom get punctures and they last quite long as a race tyre. From they get a big . I ride them 8r/7f bar. Tried Vittoria and for me it did not last as long
  6. Maybe somebody played a prank on them
  7. Am really glad that the family is reunited again. Great to have good positive news
  8. Frame weight is 1150g for a medium size. Don't know whether MR LOOK will be importing them
  9. Something like this? Though the brakes are still mechanical. Bike weighs 8.55kg
  10. And here I thought there was a hub fight coming up
  11. Soft as in wear and tear soft or flexy soft
  12. Thanks. Have they benefitted your cycling in any way? Where is the best place to buy them?
  13. What groupset are you running. I am using Campag 11speed and am slightly concerned about compatibality
  14. I see that Rotor is quite popular amongst mtb's here on the hub. Are there any roadies using them and do they work? Any hassles with shifting on the front?
  15. I had Enve 65's and they could be tricky in windy conditions, especially when gusty and I weigh 90+
  16. How do the rims used for your wheels differ from other deep section wheels(Blackspade etc) advertised on the hub and what hubs are you using?
  17. Of those 3 mentioned, I would go Fulcrum
  18. I would go for a nice set of wheels
  19. Every thing is new except for the shock which was used only for a couple of rides and the guy split up his bike and sold the parts. I went way over my budget.
  20. I rode some sections where there were plenty of stones on the trail as you find next to railway lines and the pressure seemed ok. I was concerned for the sidewalls, so turned of the trail unto a forrest road
  21. Thanks robinh
  22. You are all welcome
  23. Hey, I did not get the bike to fall Must say though, the feeling if soft sand grabbing the front wheel is not too pleasant. I am running my tires at 2.5 rear and 2 front bar. Is that about right for my weight, which is hovering at around 99kg at the moment
  24. It took longer than expected, but at last the bike is complete and I went for my 1st ride this morning. Some getting used to, but I enjoyed it. Started off on the tar for 15 odd km's just to get used to the different feel and to make sure everything was working properly, then went off road on forrest plantation service roads. Bike weighs 11kg. I opted for ZTR Flow rims with Hope hubs as I needed something strong and reliable
