Did the Fast One some years back when it was raining and there were some dudes who had white foam all around their bums Reckon it was from cream they were using. Did not smack the idea of riding behind them as it looked like some kind of pest and the foam would from time to time come flying past

You are right about the pork, but there are farmers who let their pigs out into the veld. Knew a lady who always got 1st prize for her pork she delivered at Escourt and she had her pigs running around freely. Know another farmer who sells his pork to Woolworths and his pigs are also allowed to run free and they call this free range. The farmer saw a gap in the market. There is no middleman involved, so he can sell cheaper. I would pay about double those prices at a butcher and even more at a supermarket

I am really glad that I can buy my meat directly from a farmer locally and it is all free range. Paying R45/kg for lamb and beef. Pork is R30/kg :thumbup: :clap:

Just a thought. If you used it on a motorist and he/she causes a serious accident, are you prepared to deal with the consequences?

When a car comes speeding past me at only arms length, I get a huge skrik and natural reaction is to show my skrik which has turned into anger in some manner, be it arm waving or the middlefinger while said driver speeds of into the sunset. He probably got some enjoyment out of the whole incident, while other motorists might only see the middlefinger of cyclist and "see arrogant cyclist". So it goes around and around people throwing stones and nobody is prepared to change their ways . Unfortunately the cyclist comes off 2nd best in an accident with a car, truck, taxi etc. It is a war out there on the roads

Agree, having a license plate fixed to your bicycle won't help. Just have a look at all the traffic offences seen daily on our roads. We need to change our attitude and show lots and lots more respect on our roads.

What light is that. I find that your high output lights have extra battery packs and are not always so practical on a road bike. I know there are other options like your URBAN lights from Light&Motion. I have one of these myself and they are pretty bright. As for the rear, I don't know of any red lights that are so bright that they are highly visible during daytime

It is a good idea, but a lot of motorcyclist can tell horror stories of other road users not seeing them even with their lights on bright. Happened to me on my bicycle as well. I was going over a crossing and this car just turned in front of me. I nearly landed on his bonnet and I had my superbright cycle light on flash mode. Don't think that you are safer with lights on your bike, even if it makes you more visible. Always be aware of your surroundings and anticipate what drivers will do.

Interesting. Here on my training routes I find that taxis show more respect than many others on the road. It is all a matter of respect for each other. That said, if I had to move to a place like JHB, I would probably hang up my bike. I would be too scared to cycle there.
