  1. That is one ugly looking trailer . Rather go for the Jurgens trailer
  2. How are the Formula R1 brakes in comparison in feel and stopping power? They are generally rated as one of the better brakes here on the hub
  3. That is very nice. Enjoy it
  4. Poor owl. Nice bike. Hopefully I can collect mine this weekend, the bike not owl
  5. Thanks for the offer. I was also thinking more of the offroad route as I don't like the idea of taking my son on a road with plenty of traffic. Could you please post a pic of your trailer?
  6. I would be interested in one for my son, Tristan who is 7, turning 8 in February next year. As some of you might know, Tristan is autistic and cannot ride a bike at the moment, but it would be fantastic to be able to put him in a trailer and he would absolutely love it, but the problem is that most of the trailers have a weight and hight restriction. Are there any bigger trailers/buggies available? Here he is in his special boots
  7. What are the studs for that come with mtb shoes?
  8. Not on the couch anymore. Have build the bike as much as I can. LBS will have to trim brake hoses and bleed brakes, final settings and fit. I cannot wait for the build to be complete
  9. The time has arrived to build my MTB. Still waiting for the wheels and crank, but should have them this weekend
  10. Thanks Delilah. I have a spare Blackburn cage that is virtually brandnew, so will be using it
  11. Very nice looking bike you have there. Wishing you plenty of trouble free km's of riding . Please let me know how the Blackburn cage is at holding bottles on rough sections as I am aslo planning to fit one to my soon to be completed 1st MTB.
  12. Got me some shoes for my MTB build
  13. Hi Johan. Sorry off topic. You would not maybe have 2 white ztr arch rims available for sale?
  14. No stock of Rockshox Reba tapered steerer TA .
  15. Thanks. I am aware that the frame is tapered and have got my Hope hubs with adaptors . Just looking for some white ZTR Arch rims, but none available from importers until mid to end November
  16. Thanks for info and advice. I was considering getting a TA shock, but it seems that there is no stock of the Reba RLT I was looking to buy, hence the reason for my question. As for my bike rack, I am using a platform carrier where the bikes stand on their wheels.
  17. I have read that a thru axle helps the front end of a MTB to be stiffer in comparison to a normal QR. I have not ridden MTB yet, but need to buy a shock and want to know how much of a difference it makes in real world riding. If you have ridden both, please share your findings. Thanks
  18. That is cheap. Who is your insurer and for what value have you insured?
  19. Have a look at the Strides website and there you will see the Jurgens LT670 fitted with a Strides bike carrier. When I bought my LT670, I removed the standard lights and fitted LED lights. The trailer has plenty of space for your luggage
  20. I have the LT670. Very nice
  21. Have read that the rims are on the soft side?
  22. Was thinking of going with Arch rims. I way nearly 100kg's at the moment and need something that will last. Hear what you say about the pocket, but I am prepared to spend slightly more and have better service from the wheelset than having spokes break and cracked rims.
  23. Decision time: I have decided that I would like to go with Hope hubs for costume build wheels, though I am undecided on what rims to us and the correct rim width. I have had a look at DT Swiss, Stans, Mavic, or should I stick with a factory build wheelset? I want a strong robust wheelset that won't give me grieve, but is also easy on the pocket. The other item I am not sure on is the handlebar. I like the Easton EC90 bar but it comes in flat and riser versions and the width is 635mm whereas the trend seems to be to go wider for 29er's? The seatpost and stem will be from the same manufacturer as the handlebar. Any advice will be most welcome
  24. I go on empty in the mornings for 1h30 to 2h00 rides. Must add that I do have plenty of reserves at the moment, about 10kg or so
  25. Congrats on a stunning looking bike. Wishing you plenty of enjoyable rides
