My wife impressed me so much on sunday i might do alot more events with her! She was passing alot of men on the descents and even rode all the slippery tech downhills!!

I rode with many guys who had Shimano and had just as much chain suck as i did. Would be interesting to know how many guys running 1x11 had issues.

Although i must say i loved yesterday!! Rode the 45km with my wife and loved it!

probably had the best bike out there. No dreaded chain suck Counted from my Garmin file over 30 stops to try and clean and lube my chain!

To all the husbands and partners out there with wife's/girlfriends that cycle. Do they ride with women specific bibs or do they wear just any bibs? Trying to find my wife some semi decent ones without forking out R2500 for Assos

Not really. R5000 more than what I would have paid at TWT for a set of 20" rims

Pictures of mine. They cut a V wedge out of the existing exhaust and bent the tip down and then brazed the joint.

45 degrees works perfect. Will take a picture of mine with Thule rack on.

is it me or does your frame look too small relative to your seat height etc?

I was one of the lucky ones that got to the water tables when they still had water. Needed more chain lube though as it is turning out to be a very expensive race now that i have hurt my bike. My biggest gripe was the distance from the "entertainment" area to the cars. Poor wife had to watch four kids, carry a gazebo and chairs to sit on. They could have at least run shuttles or something like they did on the friday.

I couldnt even turn my crank last night when i got home. Guess it going to get a full strip down and service.
