  1. Looks awesome. On my list of things to do is to follow the TDF.
  2. Hey There Hubbers. I am thinking of trying to ride Tandem with the wife. Problem is i want to try one before i buy it. Was hoping to try it on the Sun City Road Race. Size need to be preferably XL/M Anyone know of some who would lend me one? Cheers
  3. My Bad. I am not the smallest rider. Quite tall and find that if i were to order european stuff that my shirt size would be XXXXL (Ftech, LG) They recommended that i order the XXXXL top and it is actually loose. They do have a sizing chart which is pretty accurate. Never really tried any of the SA stuff.
  4. Hey There I was retrenched and decided to start my own Project Management consulting company in the construction field. Anyone needing a Project Manager please let me know and i will forward you my company profile. Regards
  5. Also Try Bikejersey.com Just bought a full specialized kit from them for R580. They also give you the option of a high density Chamois and also manufacture xxxxl if you are on the larger side.
  6. i could not agree more
  7. Or you could buy my GT Zaskar Pro with XT and carbon cranks. Depends what size frame you are though. LOL
  8. Thanks all seem to be doing a bit of what everyone has suggested except for the rest part. Maybe i will give myself the afternoon off.
  9. Hey Fellow hubbers I am hoping i am posting this in the right section. Was just wondering what other fellow hubbers do to shake a cold/flu. I was fine yesterday morning but by last night i had a sore throat and a nasal drip. There went my chances of doing Walkerville. I felt like crap. I used Echinaforce ad that solved the sore throat problem but i feel like i have been hit by a truck. I have even resorted to putting the toilet roll on my desk so i dont need to get up every time to blow my nose. HELP would be appreciated.
  10. I wish i had 1/3 of this guys skill. i can barely bunny hop a pavement.
  11. I like that cupcake.
  12. PM me your address and i will post you one for free. Just upgraded or downgraded to the Edge 500. (depends how u look at it.)
  13. Surely it is a group effort? am i missing the point here or is safety not a big issue?
  14. Agteros I agree with part of what you say. It is up to the individual. But if that individual is a on a club organised ride then the club should enforce certain rules and etiquette. There needs to be a certain level of control on a club ride.
  15. Thanks Velo I had to read your post twice just to make sure i understood you correctly. Its all good though.
  16. I Love my Specialized Epic comp 29er. Dont know how i will ride anything else. One day when i am rich i would like the carbon version but that is still far away. Service is an issue though altough i also guess it depends which store you buy through.
  17. The rules say nothing about NOT being able to comment on a current thread where relevant!
  18. Well my hope is that clubs will start to play a more active role in educating their members. And maybe some of the member like Mr Macarena will see the light some day that a vehicle can do alot of damage when colliding with a human body.
  19. It takes alot to piss me off. Thats why being called a TJOP does not get to me nor being told to get a pair of balls. If i was pissed off i would have posted it all over the net, shouted and screamed while i was in the store, written to the local paper etc. but after reading about the Krugersdorp event it seems to be a problem everywhere. Is it just Cycle Lab? - NO Does something need to be done about it? - YES
  20. I even went into the store to go and ask as i was on my way to have breakfast with the family at Design Quater? Twice i tried contacting CycleLab directly and twice THEY could not tell me who the correct person was. The fact is i was not pissed off about it.I am probably the most relaxed driver you will find. Being a cyclist myself, i have more patience for cyclists and even give them a wider bearth than your average driver would. I just belive that an example should be set for other riders. And why do i need to justify my efforts in any case. As a cyclist and adult you answer one question. Is it right to ride 5 abreast on a public road shared with motorists?
  21. And what makes you think i have not already phoned Cycle lab and TRIED to find out who the correct person is to speak to?
  22. Makes me think of the Cyclelab fourways club ride of two weekends ago. Riding 5 abreast on a normal single lane road. If they lead by example then no wonder cyclists get the reputation for owning the road! All i can say is i am glad i am not part of that club.
