  1. I have been looking for the Steady Rack here in SA but no-one supplies them. They are freaking expensive to import but the perfect rack

    Munga Grit

I am keen for the Grit. After doing day 1 of Munga last year you need far less than what you think you need.
  3. Been toying with a prototype for some time now and tweaking to get it right for some time. Have finally managed to sort out the Kicker Gen 1-4. Would like to get a Core so that we can get the holes pre - cnc'd. I agree on the need for inflatable balls is to deal with the counter weight issue. Most "simple' Rockers don't take into account the flywheel weight of the IDT and thus the whole balance is off.
  4. I got myself one of those Wahoo mats
  5. SO my original Kickr warranty went through Cyclelab. Like you I was frustrated and managed to track down the distributor. I spoke to them and they helped me.
  6. Hi No I didn't. They are the distributer.
  7. so I am not one for public displays of affection perse but in this instance I do feel the need to congratulate Ikhmabi (distributor of Wahoo) for the excellent way in which they have dealt with my various issues over the past. It is no secret that the 2018 version of the Kickr had a few issues. Whenever an issue arose with mine Sean from Ikhambi was responsive and never once queried the cause and accepted the unit was faulty. In April at at during the lockdown I experienced an issue with my Kickr and sent Sean a video of the problem. He diagnosed the problem immediately and said they would replace my unit as soon as they were able to return to operation. True to form I got an email from Sean last week and collected (my choice) my replacement unit yesterday. I am a big fan of the Wahoo products and with the backup service I have received from Sean at Ikhambi I would be happy to continue with their products in the future.
  8. Please tell me mine isn't going to take so long. I will go off my head. It has already been 3 weeks since mine went. I have an internal bearing issue. They said I could still ride it but it drives me crazy with the noise.
  9. Patches, How do you see the construction sector being impacted by all this?
  10. So I have changed from a Gen 1 to a Gen 4. The difference is that instead of having teeth on the belt and pulley they have changed the grooved belt that runs the circumference of the belt with the corresponding pulley. There is a marked improvement in terms of noise levels.
  11. I had a company very interesting in making me an offer. Even checked with all my references etc. I got the email this morning that they have decided to put all appointments on hold.
  12. Lets PM each other
  13. I just vomitted in my mouth!!!
  14. Yup, Work is too unstable here although I do love it here. I had 3 option Canada (Vancouver) Uk as I can get an ancestral visa or NZ. While I would love to get into Canada I need the ever elusive job offer. UK is easy from a visa point of view but I just can't get the numbers for cost of living vs salary to work in my head. I actually don't know how they do it. NZ is the easy option. Been there before and know people who know people. Applied for a great position and hoping I get it. Then I will pack up here tomorrow and move over there. But I would need to do things very differently. Also have an open offer form the company I worked for previously but I think their culture has changed too much since I was there and an offer in Hamilton but the wife doesn't want to go to Hamilton. For her it Auckland or nothing!
  15. Depends on the school. When we arrived my son was used to doing sport almost every day. The school he was in had a team and once that team was filled those were the kids. Everyone else was referred to "club sport". Now that we are looking at returning I am looking at specifically that and found that some schools do have extra murals and some don't.
  16. congrats and good luck!
  17. you and me both
  18. Yip. Interesting weekend. He contacted me wanting my MTB and Road bike I had advertised.
  19. My Uncle and Aunt stay in Whangarei. It a nice town and isn't nearly as "overpopulated" as Auckland CBD. Lots of nice walks and close to the water if you are into tat kind of thing. If I had my way I would move there as well. Temps are normally about 2deg higher than Auckland. Not nearly as much traffic. Rentals are not nearly as difficult as Auckland.
  20. Same here. Said he was in the US and wanted to pay via PayPal. After being scammed no so long ago I thought I would wait a bit and see.
  21. Its funny how our perception is all relative. I was out of JHB for two days in remote areas of SA. Driving back into JHB you can almost feel the anxiety and tension/stress building up. Its nuts!!
  22. Thanks. You have helped a lot. I have an opportunity to possibly come back to NZ so will see what happens. IN the process of buying myself an FX350 and my son a TX 65. Will definitely bring them over. Even bought a fold up trailer so that I can park it in the garage and still park the cars etc.
  23. Patches, what is the enduro (motor bikes) scene like there?
