  7. Found this mint italian track frame last night! salvaged it out of a mates dad's garage. so amped going to build it up as a Messenger type Fixie vibe. I will post pics on this thread as I get parts and things go along. if anyone knows what brand it could be that would be great I think I might pretend it is a Colnago and brand it that way Fly Wheel in Cape Town is going to restore the frame for me. The owner, Zahier is a flippen genius. Thinking of a pitch black in matt finish with very subtle UCI World Champs pinstriping on seat tude with Oragne Colnago logo on the Down Tube. I have a BB and Headset for her so long, let the parts hunt begin! Feel free to post in any creative ideas I am 26 years old so my knowledge of 'old skool' bikes is very limited.
  8. anyway here is the link for the spoke length chart on the No Tubes (Stans) website: Stans Spoke Lengths

  15. when we raced SA Champs there in 2010 the water was perfect??
  16. Hey Mr_Stig well it depends are you going to get a frame and bars and just transfer your components over from your road bike? Cause that would save you some bucks and if you only have 15k to spend you can put it all into the frame and TT specific bars. In terms of sizing the general rule of thumb is one size smaller than usual for your TT set-up so if you ride 56cm a 54cm TT bike would be the norm. although it is also rider specific and depends on your ride preference. Your brands like Argon 18, Scott, Merida, Pinarello etc. hold their value quite well. Cycling is very 'brand' orientated so get a good name brand and you should be fine on resale.
  17. that's why I stay my skinny white ass off a downhill bike...
  18. I wonder if Eddy Merckx would've ridden with that groupset?
