Had a run in with a playful young Doberman last week, twice she would have ended under my wheels and me on the tar. Both times I was lucky in seeing coming. Friday morning for the third time it was the same thing and as I led her back into the yard where she came from I saw a man standing on the stoep looking at me. So, while I was walking up to him he turned around and went into the house, closing the door behind him. I knocked, I called and received a flat ignore. I left without breaking anything. This morning it was the same thing. So what did I do? I took the dog with me to work. This afternoon I dropped her at home again, it doesn’t seem if anyone was missing her. So I decided that I will do the same again tomorrow, and every day thereafter. Until the day when she waits at the gate for me with a spare bone, then I am taking her home permanently. Bugger the consequences.

So with this post, my sincere apologies to you cK. there is a access road on the farm to the coast and in the Admiralty zone there is numerous roads. Unluckily hooliganism is in the order of the day with 4x4s', quads and motorcycles %$%$#@5 up everything here. The damage caused by these idiots to the beach and dune areas will take years to repair. With every information board and signage put up some $%@$@3 comes along and pulls it out. Presently we are attempting to address the problem with the help of Nature Conservation, SAPS and Sea Fisheries. So cK, sorry again mate, And ja, bicycles is more than welcome on the farm.
