  1. And to think, Cycles Science could have paid out the difference between genuine and fake components, and walked away from all this. Instead they piss off a smarter man than themselves, and then follow it up with a feeble lawyers letter. Has so far, and will continue to go badly for them, until they make good their mistakes. All I see for now is the hole getting deeper.
  2. It's getting late, I wonder how well the guys from cycle science are going to sleep tonight?
  3. This needs to end soon, I've got a days work to catch up!

That wind punished me today. If you dropped the wheel in front of you, it was tickets. Lucky for me, I picked up a tandem down Fields hill. 10 mins slower than last year but happy considering the wind.
  5. It is sad that doping plays such a huge role in our sport. It is not just the pro's that are involved but all through the sport. Local age groups (that can afford to) will often take any advantage they can get. The sport at pro level does "appear" to be cleaning up (Cadel Evans, in my book, being the most convincing in recent times). LA sure can be a numbnut but he was stronger than most. If he, and the entire peloton was clean, I think he would of still been the strongest. They were all doping and the strongest still won. Which is worse? breaking the speed limit at 140km/h or 180km/h? or is the crime the same? Is Tyler less guilty than LA for admiting after being caught or LA denying to the grave?
  6. If the reason you bought any products from the above mentioned brands, is because of the association with LA, then by all means boycott. Otherwise, buy what you like.
  7. I know the tyre subject has been covered (over and over), but I'm just not sure what to use for this years hill 2 hill. I normally ride with maxxis Aspens, for their light weight and efficient rolling resistance. I do however sacrifice traction in the wet and they dont like the mud. As there is rain forecast for this week and it may even rain on the day, I'm intersested to know what others are doing or recommend.
  8. Can anyone also shed some light on how long it takes to lose the gains from training?
  9. Any events in Mpumalanga this weekend? MTB or road. Got a trip to Kruger booked this weekend (without checking MTB World Cup dates, grrrrr ).
  10. Been there for the last 6 weeks, take an IDT. Wouldnt ride there alone. (alone meaning <10)
  11. If I was going to get big wheels, it would be the Santa Cruz all the way.
  12. Caerus, if you talking about the first set of switch backs (switch - up), there is a bizhub sign on the flat section just before which is great brake marker. but dont worry about going over, you'll only do it once . Nigel, what a shot. Love what you have done on blue. Glad the one top has already been identified as a problem, other wise all good. just need a little more travel in the bike , and a bigger pair of nuts.
  13. Did my usual ride with the usual guys this morning, only to find a new jump heading down Blue. Took a right at the fork (not been that way for some time with the new routes complete) and was blown away by what I found. A whole new series of jumps, tables, burms ect.. The track was wet and the new jumps still very soft and clearly not finished yet, but can hardly wait to go down again. Thank you Santa   PS. Please dont ask me for pics, as there is no ways I'm slowing down to get the camera out
