Spark, I don't think THUG has (could be wrong) but has done some things that would make most MTB'rs eyes water! He has quite some experience so making a comparison of the meters climbed would be a fair comment by him ........

Hey Jules my daughter got married today, gotta turn every penny twice for the next few months .......

As DR says at the price of tyres these days if it's still got lots of life I have in the past repaired small ones with just a patch inside. Do it the same as I would a patch on a tube. Clean the area nicely, rough up a bit and put solution then after it's dry apply the patch sorted! If the cut is a bigger (bulges even with a patch inside) I have also sewed it up with dental floss, also did the patch inside for extra security and in fact have just recently replaced one of those cause it had worn out. On the other hand if you got the bucks to burn just buy a new one .......

So 6 days after the 'incident' and 5 days after surgery I go for the checkup today at the 'maxillo facial' surgeon oke and he says sure you can ride a bike if you are ok with the discomfort ..... so what to do ........ Race of course! Did the Rietvlei zoo farm night race, pretty much the same time as usual ..... very little discomfort and frikkin loved it! Woohoo!

Today being chauffered to work by LBB ..... (that split in the lip and the stitches are still frikkin sore though )
