Ok so I put some thought to the whole GPS navigation thing. I don't like it. Sure, I have not yet tried it. And here comes the BUT: I just hate it to look down at my cycle computer during races. I prefer to either take in the views or I tend to stare at they ground a couple of meters before me when the track demands it... Also, navigating with a GPS is just not the same as navigating with a map, so no sence of achievement to be gained. I really just don't like the idea that I need to enter a stage race, and cycle through some of the most visually stunning areas in our country, only to spend more time looking at a computer screen. Maybe I'll come around one day, but for now I prefer a my races to have a good mix of adrenalin and stunning views with a dash of simplicity where it matters. Sorry about the spelling...

I hear you and it is true to some extent. However, I've done a few stage races and the ones I enjoyed most where the ones where I took friends along. Sure, you'll make some friends along the way, but it is just not the same. For me atleast

Any race is only as good as company that attend. Doing joberg2c on you're lonesome suck, no matter how good the route
