  1. I had to sit under a tree for 5min last year to try cool off. My polar said it was 44 degrees!
  2. I agree, awesome event and I am going again this year. BUT, if you hate climbing you might just hate this event (on day 2 you will climb 1000m before you hit the 30km mark). Not the best event for a beginner IMO. Sani2c is much easier IMO. And the temp could be a challange if you don't like heat.
  3. my entry will be transfered to one lucky team.
  4. both, only if they remain in the same team. if the team split, only the person that enters first will get an entry
  5. in previous years it seemed that everyone tried to enter when entries opened for previous riders only. Thus the guys that should not have tried to enter dragged the system down... I think less "non-previous entrants" tried their luck this year...
  6. you should learn to use your front brake as well. It increases your braking power. Going over the bars due to too much front brake is a skill failure and nothing else
  7. double post
  8. hopefully your brakes and not your wallet
  9. weight as far back as possible. very little preasure on the handle bars. use both your brakes but mostly rear...
  10. with you on that one
  11. my son is finally getting his pooch this weekend I cant wait
  12. the question is, gave you been on a 29er with propper geo? If they can't turn, then you are doing it wrong. Some of the 29er bikes on the market have shyte geo and I can understand why poeple think 29ers can't turn after riding said bikes
  13. ok so I have a question that may or may not have been asked before (and I am not going to search just because it is Friday ) why do "they" say that short people struggle on 29ers? is the geo to cramped due to the bigger wheels whilst still allowing the rider to reach the bars? Back in the old days 29ers had issues with turning. That has long since been resolved with the off-set forks etc. Perhaps the issue for shorter riders was, in them old days, that the 29ers struggled to turn, and that plus a short legged resulted in the issue. Perhaps the whole 29er-is-not-for-short-people thing has long since been resolved? rumors will always go on, like when people tell me 29ers cant take a turn, and I end up laughing in their faces at the next race about that statement.
  14. on the scott, I ride the 910. AWESOME bike if you like racier geo. I can't comment on the size though
  15. so my take-away from this pic is26ers are for guys that like pink? 650Bs are for the sexually frustrated 29ers for the rest of us Chastity panty on before I get raped for my statement
  16. in that case, I'll bring my wife's food to the fight. It packs a moer of a punch!
  17. just throwing a little petrol on the fire. But just a little, I cant afford more than a little petrol at the going prices
  18. I think this thread is as good as any for our friday brawlleft left right uppercut
  19. you must be new to the hub if you think you'll get anything better on this thread
  20. knowing SAS, they most probably stuffed it up and it should have been as you said
  21. someone has too
  22. Is there hope or can we expect the same shyte with a brand new UI?
  23. Have a look at the results sheet and see how many A, B and C seeded racers finished wayyyyyyyy back. Some of them might have had mechanicals, or even a bachelors, but NOT all of them. Makes one wonder... Again, I don't know who is to blame for this?
  24. haha, the sad thing is, I am actually not that fast. Some of the guys in the A and B batches just didn't belong there...
