  1. that is my thinking as well. I better start adding some cement to my morning coffee so that I can hang on!
  2. Ok so I checked last last years results for the DL batch. 21 of the 100 cyclists made it in sub 3. They are widely spread from a 2:49 up to 2:59 with only a few riders that finished together. Either the last climb split the bunch or the bunch fell appart long before that.
  3. what time are you planning on?
  4. nope I don't think so
  5. I should really do more road races so that I can get a better seeding.I seriously hope there will be a bunch in DL that will be aiming for a sub3. I don't think I am fit enough to TT it alone for a sub3
  6. you call it nippy, I call it p!ss cold!
  7. what seeding did you get? A?
  8. Yes, DL Starts at 7:19
  9. Perhaps the JCZA train should fall back to the DL batch to pull me over the finish line in a sub 3
  10. ok so slow poke over here got a DL seeding. Anyone planning a sub 3 from DL?
  11. I agree, it is an all round good place. I am just not sure where you get #3
  12. I would love to own a single speed fatty
  13. how much is the markup?
  14. please give us some details about the software differences. BTW, how accurate is the power meters on these indoor trainers?
  15. agreed, I don't want yet another thing to up the entry price. Not to be negative but I guess you are planning to charge the event organisers whom will then add it to the entry fee. I can see the need at stage races but I doubt I'd use it. I don't see a need for it at 1day races at all.
  16. if that is the only training you did for 3T last year then I am calling you punctured your own tyres just to rest...
  17. put on all your winter clothes and go do hill repeats up breedts nek in the middle of the warmest day.
  18. :w00t: :w00t:
  19. i'll have to do something so that I can keep up. I think I'll remove his rear wheel the night before and give his brakes a couple of pomps before putting the rear wheel back. There is nothing like climbing those hills with your handbreak up
  20. yes, but I am packing extra tubes so that he can tow me up the climbs
  21. was getting over the flu that jumped me over the weekend. I am much better today and will be doing the 6pm class to make up for yesterday
  22. I agree with your skill comment. We take skills for granted. After seeing the lack of skills at Sani2c this year (in the race event) I think skills should be mentioned for this event.
  23. Karma already started cutting up some tubes just incase you get a puncture this year
  24. Guys it is an awesome race, but don't lie to the noobs. It is a propper suffer fest. Don't let the distance fool you.
