  5. Bothas Hill, bike-jackers jump out from the bush at the steepest part of the hill to knock you off your bike and take what they can.
  6. LOL okay. But the Shimano's don't have sealed bearings
  7. All the wheelsets below are about the same price (CRC as reference) Mavic - Crosstrial disc (1810g) Fulcrum - Red Metal 3 (1853g) Shimano - XT (1710g) Of the three, Mavic and Fulcrum use sealed bearings which is one advantage but the Shimanos are the lightest. All three designs have straight pull stainless steel spokes, SO, the big question: Which would you go for and why?? Veloce2009-01-30 01:28:00
  8. Or CRC has a January sale...

  11. 'Ello 'ello 'ello What are the ramifications of putting a top headset cup with too small an outer diameter on your frame? Obviously the diameter of the ridge on the inside of the cap lines up with the head set bearing but the outer diameter is too small. ie: There is some frame sticking out around the head set cap. And if these ramifications are not good, does anyone have a headset cap that will fit a Giant Anthem frame for me, puleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!!
  12. Kyou Qyu Que????? See, we don't even know how to spell that word here
  13. Hehe' date=' Hehe...... Nah, did a bit of Ballito and Giba myself. BRILLIANT! Just a question. Is December a quiet time at Giba, is Giba not supported as much as it should be, was I just lucky or is it big enough to cope and seems quiet. I was amazed at how little traffic traffic there is. Is this a Howteng mentality thing? [/quote'] Definitly a Howteng mentality thing. Had a mate come down to durbs for the December break and we took a drive to PMB. I couldnt believe how bad the traffic was. He looks at me after my little hissy fit, and promptly says, "I was about to say what a pleasure it is to drive on the roads in KZN...Absolutely no traffic!!!"
  14. You forgot about Steinbank Nature Reserve!!
  15. Howdy Yang, hope you're well!! I have a mate in the sign writing business and he prints them out on the thinest avaliable stuff (whatever it is) so that it doesn't stick out too much when you spray the clearcoat over. I havent got them back yet, will send you a pic when i get them.
  16. I have seen their work and it looks amazing but I think they have a minimum fee for any job no matter how small.
  17. Thanks very much for the advice Mampara. I'm gonna tackle it next weekend when i get my decals from my mate.
  18. Thanks TokenFreak Hey Mampara!! yep I got a duco base coat and a 2k clear coat like you suggested. So, its just an etch primer first, then the colour then the stickers and finally the clear. Thank goodness for the experienced people out there. Veloce2008-12-24 02:05:17
  19. I have a Giant Anthem rear triangle that i would like to repaint. I have rubbed it down to bare ali with the intention to paint it with automotive paint and a clear coat but was informed that this would probably not adhere to the aluminium properly. When I questioned how the factory does it the response was that the paint is baked on like a powder coat paint job. Is this true and am i wasting my time spraying an undercoat followed by a duco layer?? Veloce2008-12-24 01:53:09
