  1. Event Name: Theuniskraal MTB and Trail Run 2022, TulbaghWhen: 26/06/2022Where: , Western CapeCategory: Mountain BikeAfter the success of the Run Theuniskraal Trail Run for the past 6 year's we decided to ad to the excitement of the Winter in July weekend in the Tulbagh Valley by adding our 1st MTB to the weekend on Sunday the 26th.  Riders can expect some of the best trails in the Tulbagh Valley that was also used for the Epic in 2021.  Alongside our amazing sponsors we promise a value for money event not only catering for our riders with pristine trails and some newly build single track, but also looking after the needs of the whole family. As always our event ties up with the Christmas in Winter Wine Festival taking place over the weekend of 25-26 June in the Tulbagh valley, and our hosts, Theuniskraal (one of Tulbagh’s best-known wine farms and South Africa’s very first white-wine estate, has a history as interesting, and as old, as the town itself) can’t wait to share their hospitality & selection of fine wines with you.  So come join us and become part of the Theuniskraal MTB history! 9. Can you enter tomorrow morning?
  10. Did a 3:10 from 2B last year with my wife on the tandem, thought it would be good enough to drop some groups...just 2 groups better in 1M this year
  11. Anyone knows where one can see the photos they took on the route?
  12. Thanks for all the great advice, really looking forward! One last question, is the different lanes marked where you enter them or do you need to know exactly before you ride where to take what lane. Obviously it is advised that you know the course pretty well before you have a go, but we're only going through on Saturday from Tulbagh. I'll propably spend most of the training time to make sure my son knows what lanes to take and make sure he's comfy before worrying about myself. I'll be in Star South kit on a Scott Scale Pro with a worried face say hi!
  13. Always wanted to give XCO a try and see what its like. So I've entered my son (10jr) and myself for Saturdays Bloemendal race. Need some advice...never even attended a XCO race so don't have a clu what to expect. Any advice on the Bloemendal course, is it very technical, big jumps, rock gardens etc... How does the feed/ tech zone work... Do you put your stuff somewhere where you can find it or is it like a normal water point in an XCM race? Thanks
  14. Not looking too good for Ariane this morning. Was standing halfway up the first big climb, 4 top ladies teams together, Anika way in front and Ariane at the back of them all...
  15. +1 My thought as well, all this hype and that for nothing... Already got a 11-42 (10sp) casette, was hoping for the 10t sprocket! I'm a big shimano fan, but sram's still one in front!
  16. Shame feeling for them, that will test their mental strength! They're in a different league than the other woman, I recon 3stages at most and they're in the lead again!
  17. Jip it was me, jislaaik Greg you're a machine with that ss, well done for the sub 5, think the organisers must bring in a ss category for next year, my money's on you!
  18. No problem, thought it was something like that, things like that happen. Thanks for a well organized event.
  19. Had a great time and really enjoyed the race. Wasn't very impressed with the last few km's unrideable sand pits, really don't know why they want to end a nice race like that with such a crap piece of road. Jislaaik and what was the truck drivers problem, last year the race really started off great because we had a nice steady start, this year well maybe he was late for something! Any way, still had a good time!
  20. Seems it was a good night to be without power, the rabbit was late for something...
  21. Eskom saw I was on a mission, so decided to drop the power just incase I start putting all those watts back in the line!
  22. Awesome, thanks Dave!
