  1. No problem, thought it was something like that, things like that happen. Thanks for a well organized event.
  2. Had a great time and really enjoyed the race. Wasn't very impressed with the last few km's unrideable sand pits, really don't know why they want to end a nice race like that with such a crap piece of road. Jislaaik and what was the truck drivers problem, last year the race really started off great because we had a nice steady start, this year well maybe he was late for something! Any way, still had a good time!
  3. Seems it was a good night to be without power, the rabbit was late for something...
  4. Eskom saw I was on a mission, so decided to drop the power just incase I start putting all those watts back in the line!
  5. Awesome, thanks Dave!
  6. Haven't had a slip either, running at 7bar with the 2 clicks, its just the feeling you get when the slope gets steep. Help if you concentrate to pull just as hard as you push!
  7. I'm still not convinced that the fluid2 and powerbeam pro is gonne give the same result with the same effort on a route like that, guess its more or less the same as our avg.watts was almost the same. Believe me with the powerbeam you also need to pedal downhill to get the speed up! The one place where I do think the powerbeam is 'n bit harder is when the gradient gets to 9% and up, the resistance from the motor gets so hard that you get the feeling the wheel slip on the roller and you get a "stop go effect" through the "dead" position of the crank, on a long climb this is making it really tough. Don't know how the fluid2 works, but I can't see it doing the same. Don't know if the other guys with the powerbeams also experience this? Will be interesting what their thoughts is. Any way, very well done for your first ride! If you ride like that after 2hrs on the bike, I really don't want to race against you when you're fresh!
  8. Jislaaik, that was one bad ass route... In my moer is al wat ek kan sê! So where did heinrich.visser came from, well done really had to dig deep to stay in the race!
  9. Jip, must be a strong field, two years in the top 20 and still not good enough for B group!
  10. Don't know what races they use for seeding, but apparently previous Burger races don't count much! Managed a sub 3 for the 60km for the last 2 years (12th in 2012) and got dropped from B to C? Any one know what races they use to do the seeding?
  13. Really got to feel for the organisers of this race! Done it for the last three years and each year the weather is more horrible than the previous year! As much as I would like to support the race I really don't think its gonna see me! Pity as they're doing it for the local old age home!
  14. My race from last Wednesday. http://my.virtualtraining.cycleops.com/en/flippiej/workout/215897
  15. Jaco teen daai tyd is jy so sterk van online racing jy kan dit sommer di dag voor die dr evil ook ry!
  16. So what happened to Rouxtjie last night?
  17. Pro days....no wonder my legs don't feel so good....
  18. Well done Dave, great ride!
  19. Still need to finish for your time to get saved in the route log
  20. Was wondering... Having trouble with my wifi connection, halve the time I ride online I'm losing my connection (like last Wednesday) and my race is over... (One of the drawbacks staying on a farm, internet is a luxury!) On my side everything still works fine and I keep on racing, finish the route and the time gets logged in the route records. Obviously I'm getting a DNF for the race, but I legally finished the race, I just lost my connection. So Dave, for the cycle ops cup, if one start the race and can prove afterwards you've finished it, can you still qualify for some points? Maybe just give a penalty or add a couple of minutes? Just think its a bit harsh to walk away with a 0 while you've actually completed the race. Obviously those of you staying in the city with nice fast internet won't like the idea, but anyway worth a try!
  21. Road there once with my bike, never again. That road should be closed for either cars or cyclists its just to narrow and with the south easter blowing I recon its one of the safer options if you want to commit suicide!
  22. Thought something must have gone wrong, how much time did she lost?
  23. Lol, my wife just had a good laugh for that one! She's normally the one that goes down on the steep stuff so you made her day! Thanks for giving way, I quite like the downhills and with her not enjoying it I had some frustration to get out on the enduro!:-) I see the times for the enduro sections is a mess, they give just one time per team, is it the average time of the team or fastest/slowest riders time?
  24. Skubarra, ain't we hubbers supposed to wave at each other onroute What kit/team were you riding in? Starting to think my wife is a bit of a freak, the last time she's been on a bike for more than 2hr was at the cycle tour! We've got a last minute entry, did a couple of 40km rides and one lsd 60km with me, thats it! Shed some tears on day one though!
