  1. So I guess, going downhill uncleated is suicide?... I like it, haha Had cleats and some fancy xc shoes for a day, gave it to my brother after a day. Here's my foot rest of choice, http://direct.coresites.mporatrons.com/dirt/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/holzfeller.jpg
  2. sweetest fastest bike I had in awhile. Like the shortness, more agile, Fighter jet compared to a transport plane!. Dont notice the flex much,
  3. True, but I've always liked a small cockpit, has a bmx/DJ feel to it, It moves when I say move:)
  4. Bike can never be too small:) For me that is, Ive never had a bike bigger than small/med (17") and Im 1.84m. Cant get used to big frames
  5. Saw that one, was almost thinking of getting her aswell, haha.. Nice bike!!!
  6. Seems people that ride 29" wheels LOVE their gimmicks, and searching the internet why its better than normal Mtb's.
  7. That does not make sense at all, it points towards a circle? See how trials guys run there 20" tires. Its more the tubeless that allows lower pressures than the size of your wheel. I'd rather say 29 guys can run it harder because the bigger wheel has more flex--> more absorption.
  8. Short bars, barspin quicker... there my 2c
  9. Very possible. Have bent pedals and cranks before. It can also be on of the ballbearings inside the pedal that went.
  10. Got the fox flux today 12:00.. 12:05 I was on the trails to test it. Sweet helmet, didnt move at all and enough holes for some venting!!
  11. Het haar vandag op maiden voyage gevat. Staan en wag hier net vir die reen om te clear. Was lekker modderig!! klere lê no modderige hoop in die kombuis, haha
  12. I weigh 100kg's and the same setup as patches. Did mine the other night. Its your body weight +15%. Eg if your 100kg's (+/-200lbs) you'll put it on 230PSI. Then you adjust the smaller chamber with 4mm allen key, If I take mine in to the last line it gets to hard/fast. Here's a vid where the guy shows how to set it up, helped alot: http://www.pinkbike.com/video/9789/
  13. Heard a story that all forks will hit the frame, if the bike has the optimum down tube angle, but I don't know how true this is. But after looking at other frames, you can see they start their down tubes much high
  14. Does fork also hit the frame? Mine does (reason for the tube around downtube on mine) Guess no barspins for me anymore... Have to grow up sometime, haha
  15. No need for so much gears, if its to steep to pedal 36T gear I push. I climb/Ride out of the saddle most of the time. Find I get tired if I pedal while seated. Don,t even know how big my cassette is on the back , Still having difficulty to see why someone would want 10 gears on back??
  16. I run a 36
  17. Rides much better than she looks! My first full sus, must just get the bunnyhops dialled now. not used to suspension sucking all my bunnyhop energy. And I think all bikes should have a colour scheme, gives some personality
  18. Pitty cant take her for a spin tonight
  19. So here she is... I like my girls small with Big suspension Nice stuff in all the right parts, them yellow nukeproof at back, Some white spanks, Sherman in front, saint cranks/BB and holzfellar end bits. built from:
  20. Overshot and went right past.. needed new gloves, helmet and seat with my new frame!!! haha... thats not counting the pereferals like headset etc
  21. Took mine to the shop this morning, tomorrow i'll have her back... Cant wait! Have the small though.. just like my street bike! still have to get used to riding, where the bike compensates for all the bumps
  22. Nice! now just to get some dirt and scratches on! haha
  23. Cool, looks like I made the right choice! Need that protection at the back!! My hardest crash was where backwheel nicked on a highspeed bunnyhop, and flipped... scraped the whole back of head away... Woke up in Hospital later that night, missing a day.
  24. Put my order in for a Fox Flux, looks good, and only R650 for last year's one. Thanks.
  25. I push uphill, still bit unfit... but one of these days. Most of the trails is to steep to pedal out anycase.
