  1. Once i start earning a salary again, this or one of its smaller siblings is on top of the list.... If the rand hasn't fallen like a zim dollar.
  2. Will probably only be enforced if you are the person someone throws whisky at or if someone draws you naked
  3. After those wheels big wheels...
  4. Bike light that ads dimension. Was my biggest problem while delivering newspapers early mornings on gravel roads, used to rather ride without light
  5. Make one;) it used to be my AM bike i think

    Sailing

Think the safety equip is to expensive and people are bit intimidated by sailing! I really enjoyed it... But dont have free time to join up with crew. Miss the feeling of how little you are in the deep, while swearing to yourself, if you make it out, you're never going out again, haha
  7. Bos of all shocks!
  8. Its been also the way i've been riding... I just called it riding, altough it is mostly pushing and then riding down. But since I think enduro is trying to capture the essence of the way we all ride, i think they should run it in the way the average joe goes about riding. Keeping shuttles out of the rules might also make it easier for local guys to organise bigger events without the additional worry of logistics for shuttles.
  9. Up on Enduro magazines' facebook page. THE BIG DEBATE - Does using 4X4's to shuttle have a place in the evolution of enduro racing, or is it simply cheating? "Full story here: http://enduro-mtb.com/en/shutting-in-enduro-a-legitimate-race-tactic-or-simply-cheating/ " What do you think? For me its a easy yeah, its cheating, its what differentiates it from just being downhill
  10. Would mind one of these.
  11. Nice, Hope you dont regret down scaling like I almost did.... from Intense 6.6 to Trek fuel Ex9 Luckily I kept both bikes for a grace period... and sold the Trek fuel after 2 rides. But then again I dont do distance/uphills at all
  12. Saw a Doc on him the other day (Last year) where he was training full on Enduro specific. So he is full on invested. If I recall correctly it also has something to do with the big fall he had a while back in DH Dan speaking about switch while ago; Good vid aswell for those who haven't seen it http://www.redbull.c...herton-s-enduro
  13. Not a bike, but came across it and thought should share, haha
  14. I dont exactly get knee pads, only time i fell on my knees was while running... While cycling my only places i get hit is shins, back of knee, shoulders, hands, chest and head.. But never on my knees. Guess it has to do with the natural way you fall?? Have broke/dislocated knee, but that was due to foot stayin behind while me and the bike carried on.
  15. Dont think bender is so well-off these days. Probably wont get a era back. As consistanly being able to participate gets you profit, no more one hit wonders, haha. But i think the redbull freeride aproach is better, with riders needing to participate in all events, from bergline to rampage.. And one fall takes you out.
  16. Dont see big 50lb+ "huck" bikes any more. Did skills increase or did bikes just get so good? Know karpiel still pops them out, but whos the people riding it. Redbull rampage is done with even single crown forks. Are there still guys doing stuff so big and new that they need these?
  17. Found this gem on gumtree Cape town, was my dreambike in high school! Probably one of the 1st enduro type bikes
  18. Even though I don't know much about road biking, I did however write a paper on frame materials for an engineering study. Read through this webpage, should give you good Idea of what each material delivers without being bias. Remember to click the tabs on the left for more in depth on each material. 19. Steel is real:)... Know nothing about roadbikes btw, but love my steel MTB
  20. 2nd its also a safety thing, easier for you(going uphill) to stop and ride again, than for someone travelling at 55km/h+ to stop and let you past.
  21. NO, if you think going down should give way, you haven't gone down fast enough. Been riding for years and someone messing up my descend line ruins my day.
  22. Check on one, about £100 a frame, can run anything and disc's. And you can buy all the weird odd's & ends from them http://www.on-one.co.uk/c/q/frames/pompetamine
  23. Great looking bike Have to say, If I had that kind of money, this would be my frame .. Trek Slash Pretty much same geometry it seems.
  24. massive difference, five tens have a customer for life
  25. ....The 1st letters, they swop
