Think you might ge making a fundamental mistake, your top cap should not hold your headset together. Its only to tighten it initially, once youve thightened it, you tighten stem bolts to hold it in place, and then you can loosen your top cap a bit. Your stem should be holding your headset together, not your starnut and top cap. If your stem is not tight enouh, the starnut will probably start pulling loose

tubeless not solution to everything (unlike 29'ers which solves all mtb related problems, haha). my reason bikes mostly used for DJ&street, so tubeless not best idea

Dont buy cheap wheels or try to compensate when buying wheels for trail/hard riding... part of bike that takes the most punishment Spanks are awesome, only rims I ride, except for my Halo Combat's dont have experience with Stans EDIT: A wheelset which will be able to take punishment start at around R4.5k for 26", so you might be looking at a bit more.
