  1. Dont know why he went to ride there, awesome scenery... but the riding; bloody hell, looks uncomfortable and no fun, looks like each run was like 100m long and then had to walk again to where there is a bit of trail.
  2. Thinking of some slalom riding on large dunes might be a lot of fun!
  3. true, but was amazing to see, haha... really like my bluegrass, and saw the post somewhere on one of those groups
  4. Does one even banjo like this:
  5. Understand, was in the same situation but its like buying a top end Fishing reel and rod... and then skimping on the fishing line, haha
  6. Nothing worse on a trail than a poorly built berm! Reminds me, should go hit them G-spot ultra sweet berms today, heard there was some upgrades
  7. Just buy the five tens from the get go... there is a reason they are so popular. I rekt about 2 pairs of shoes trying to "save" money... got Five tens, end of buying new shoes every month http://www.pinkbike.com/news/interview-gee-atherton-on-flat-pedals-and-his-win-at-the-cairns-world-cup-dh-2014.html
  8. Should work just fine, would just crinkle inside somewhere, rather to big, than to small
  9. looks like normal bearings, just pop allen key in and unscrew. just keep track of any spacers and in which order they go back
  10. That looks right, as long as the fork spins freely, everything should be in place. Had a dust cap (read some thin useless plastic strip) on one of my bikes, took it off, as it was just in the way when swopping forks across or would end up hampering fork/bearing movement.
  11. Think you can just pop a normal fork in there, and skinnier tires wold also help a lot... but deep down, you are just asking our blessing to buy a new bike
  12. Haha... you wont lose anything, infact you'll gain some stiffness with through axle. I've ran normal forks on tapered and oversize head tubes, there is no difference
  13. Buying a complete bike second hand will work out much cheaper and there is very good second hand options around, depending on price range. Upgrading the bike will end up being overly expensive and incompatibility issues. The fork/headtube is a quillheadset which makes upgrading to a shock nearly impossible. But i'd keep the bike, looks like a sweet commuting bike.
  14. That is pretty sweet
  15. Obliviously trolling I assume, using words like 5th World, haha..
  16. The place I get my stuff, also some decent guys: http://bmxdirect.net/
  17. You cant be a "real" freerider without a hardtail DJ/Street bike to perfect your skill on .... Aka Sienjougat without breaking expensive gears/handlebars/brakes/rims... and take the brakes off time to time, to remember why you have them: http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z96/_Olliw_/IMG_6321-1.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7NEzKd7SYt4/TWUYTnk6jnI/AAAAAAAAAI4/oOhCivnnCEE/s1600/IMG_1323.JPG

  20. Seem to have read the term "Softail" a few times here, a fullsus not completely the same as softail, a softail has no pivots http://moots.com/wp-content/uploads/MX-Ybb-1.jpg
  21. Im already getting anxious, for I might leave the Western Cape for the 1st time in 28years to go work somewhere up North in a place called Midrand, hope I can resist the "Darkside" of hate and stress while living up there, haha (starwars reference not racial before even more people start flipping, haha)
  22. Luckily we in coastal areas have a Sea view while driving 20km/h behind something slow. I just turn up the radio, turn down the window and relax while checking for the yoga pants keeping in shape
  23. I've heard its our SA mentality that is wrong, we should treat them like holy cows, instead of nuisance on the road...
  24. Think the heading is a bit misleading... I've had experience with rockshox after sales and they were awesome. One of my chambers in my Lyrik was defective. They removed the whole left chamber and installed a 2013 system in its place. I haven't paid a cent to date to keep my shock running, except the initial purchase. Still running smooth. I only service if I think it needs a service... and there is no way im going t count my hours, haha. I just take my bike and ride
  25. Leave Spez for the posers get a real bike
