  1. Hi. Sorry, only saw this now. Yes the Powercal works perfectly with my Bryton. I love the fact that I can track my 'power' without having to spend major bucks on it.
  2. Contact Full Performance Cycles in Pretoria and speak to Gert. Tell him I sent you his way. They will sort you out quickly. (012) 348 3132
  3. Thanks Woofie. Will look into both options.
  4. Servetus, thank you very much. I was weary of that specific section of Voortrekker Rd, hence me thinking it wise to ask first. Will check out your suggested route. Thanks.
  5. I love my Q-rings. My Shifting is shoddy, but not because of the q-rings, but due to having a 3 speed derailleur on a 2 speed shifter and 2x10 groupset. Make the move, you won't regret it.
  6. Hi guys I have a second office in Epping, Viking road, which I would like to commute to as well, but am a little unsure about the best route to take here, but also to get some distance in. I was thinking of going down the cycle lane till Chuch Street bridge in Woodstock, and then shoot up Voortrekker till I hit Vanguard and then it is a hop skip and a jump to the office. Is there maybe better routes to take, or should this route be fine? My main concern is the safety going up Voortrekker through Salt River. I have never been up there even with my car, so have no idea what the road looks like.
  7. True, but I really do not want to trust my kids' lives to duct tape...
  8. I need some help. We received this little Giant Trailer as a gift from friends that we can use with our little ones on the cycle paths here in Table View, but the actual linking device to attach the buggy to the bike has gone missing. I have contacted the Giant agents, and they simply say they are unable to help, since they no longer support this product. It is thus now a white elephant standing in the garage, but we would like to try and get this thing working. Doen anyone know what parts it is that I still need, or can help me with sourcing said parts, either new, second hand or manufactured.
  9. In other words, the Spez...
  10. Wowzers. The snake might be brown if this happened to me. I am crap scared of snakes...
  11. So just go buy new pads then. Much easier than trying to clean and bake them...
  12. Oh that dreaded Social Media issue, where you let someone incompetent run you strategy to reach the okes out on the web. When will these people learn that it is best that it is the top guys that needs to run this.
  13. What a wanker.

    Done

We have pretty much the exact same measurements, and a large feels way too big for me. My opinion, nothing other than medium for you, but you would need to take what feels best for you.
  15. I have strated using Rock&Roll Gold the last couple of weeks, from FinishLine Green. I LOVE IT! Will go out of my way to get it in future. FinishLine was good, but the shifting with R&R is just so much better.
  16. I am taking a guess, but Olympic Cycles might be able to help?
  17. Yep. First there was an issue with the 2011 rear-suspension design, and then the paint started to peel after a month of using. Happiness since.
  18. Will they not only replace your frame? In other words, rebuilt all your current components onto a 2013 frame. My wife had her Mercury replaced this way twice, without any issues from Silverback.
  19. Yes. Costs is a bit more than the team R9000 due to you needing to have your own tent etc. if I am correct.
  20. I managed to do the first 5 days of the 2012 joBerg2c before a knee injury stopped my adventure. As far as 'racing' goes, I only want to do the joBerg2c, but money is an issue for me now. I desperately want to go back in 2013 and finish the darn thing, but building a new business and just having moved city does not really help with training or getting the money put away to go do this. I other words, it is simply awesome. From the trails, the people you meet, the food, oh the food... Worth every cent, if you ask me.
  21. Was just going to ask why it isn'y SS.
  22. I got a Bryton 35 a couple months ago, after my Polar got stolen. I use the sensor that came with the device as speed, to save on battery life of the unit, and I bought another cadence sensor with my CycleOps PowerCal. Everything worked first time, with no issues. The main issue I have had is me not charging the device, and only noticing it once I start my ride, but other than that I am also happy as a pig in you know what.
  23. Gotta love it!
  24. That is SOOO cool. Might be a nice commuter bike...
  25. Hairy. That sounds like a great plan. Only planning on starting the commute by bike next week. I would like to get away from here at around 7am or thereabouts. Sure I will be able to join you, as I am pretty flexible as per office hours, and I want to get on the bike ASAP. I do not get enough time otherwise to ride, and it is frustrating me like crazy.
