  1. U mean linkage...?
  2. Can you really compare a 'yet to be proven, so far 1 hit wonder, locally designed' frame to a multiple award winning frame ?
  3. It's a matter of preference really. I prefer the ease of having external cabling. No missioning n fiddling n nonsense in getting things routed, and no extra holes for mud n dirt to enter the frame through.
  4. Loud hubs save lives...!
  5. Without a doubt...
  6. http://www.cwcycles....sthope-wheelset Email Wayne at CWC and ask him if he can swop the Crest Hoops for Arch EX's for you. I did this. Couldn't be happier.
  7. Hey, that I CAN race...!
  8. I used to race... ... ...
  9. Pfft, sipping cosmopolitans shows sophistication...
  10. Baggy shorts are for gays... Nobody can see your package in baggies... And you also can't ride a 29r in baggies... Pointless...
  11. I took my Edge 705 in to the agents in Honeydew on Monday to have a new rubber flap that covers the cable jack at the back of the unit fitted (mine broke off at the epic). The 705 is obviously discontinued so no part available for a repair. They offered me an Edge 800 on a trade in with a R1600 cash pay-in. Super happy with the new unit and Garmin's service.
  12. No look I'll take Thaba any day of the week over Rietvlei (pretty much do), Thaba's a lot tougher than Rietvlei, yet I find even all the blue sections to be a lot more flowing and rideable. I live 3km from Rietvlei so quickly shooting from home to there for a lap and back when I have an hour n a bit is convenient. Would be nice if more attention was paid to the maintenance of the blue stuff, to keep it tough n challenging, but not virtually impossible. The blue sections up near the pool and vomit valley were perfect last summer, all rideable for those with the skills. Now u need to ride a trials bike. I've spoken to Wendell about arranging a build day with those who frequent Thaba. We can all chip in and repair badly eroded sections like after The Gulley up to Barry's point and pack some rocks into sketchy bits that are a mess. Could do the same at Rietvlei.
  13. It's not Wendell u need to confront, it's Dave. He's in charge of trail maintenance. I too disagree with dumbing down and flattening tricky bits of trail. What I do agree with is maintaining the trail and keeping it rideable. The entrance to the Japanese Garden is a nightmare and doesn't flow at all. It's almost impossible to get through the rocks AND the stupidly designed corners they're in the middle of. It was a *** idea making it the way it is now. The old entrance was better. Also the 1st blue section along the river has deteriorated quite a bit and needs some filling between the rocks.
  14. And pictures...!!! For eff's sake learn how to hit the 'More Reply Options' button and attach images. I want to see a photo of what you're selling immediately, I don't want to PM you my email address to have you send me pics when you have time. I can tell from a few pics in the add whether I'm interested in your item or not.
  15. Retarded...!
  16. It's only you that he wants to PK...
  17. Ya but the roids were out of his system then. Put the oke who posted those details or Douchewurm in front of that oke now n the PK's will fly...
  18. U go with grip or trigger shifter...?
  19. Over react much...? The thread title is MTB girls, not 'Naughty Pin-up Chicks with bikes', so he's well within the topic.
  20. I can't see why it wouldn't, even at 8 bar. Unless its a gaping gash the patch won't allow the tube to push it's way through the hole, nor is there as much movement/squashing of the sidewall at 8 bar. In my mind there's less risk at a higher pressure than a low.
  21. The other half of that patch was used to fix the exact same problem you have here...
  22. Patch the hole from the inside of the tyre with one of these patches. Clean the area with some benzine then scuff it with sandpaper. Apply proper vulcanizing solution/puncture repair glue to the scuffed area and the patch n let it dry a little. Stick the patch and let it set for a couple hours then re-fit the tyre and put new sealant in. Robert's your father's brother...!
  23. With these heavy-ish training wheels with just over 100ml of sealant per tyre, and no other carbon except the frame, it's sitting at 10.4kg's with pedals n a bottle cage. When I can race again I'll buy another light weight set of wheels and some carbon parts.
  24. More to follow... Compressing pics on an iPhone can take a while...
  25. Finished building her on the weekend but didn't want to post pics till after my set-up/fitting at Cyclefit so the steerer would be chopped down and everything positioned 100%... Here she is...!
