  1. There were some tips on how to become an Ultimate Huber...
  2. Come at me BRO...!
  3. When I 1st got into mountain biking, Sani2c was that race I had heard all about and simply HAD to do. With the entry process being a lot more difficult back then, (there was only 1 race, not 3, and you couldn't sub a whole team, just 1 person), I just never got around to doing it. Did 3 Towers last year, and The Knysna 300 this year, and was asked to replace my Epic partner the day before this years Sani2c Race when he got ill and couldn't ride it with his brother. To be honest, I found Sani to be quite a disappointment. I had also heard the campfire stories about it's awesomeness. It was NOWHERE NEAR as good as 3 Towers. And if u from JHB and not flush with Randelas, Sani is relatively expensive. To your entry, add the trip there, possibly having your car shuttled from Underburg to Scottburgh and fuel cost of that, accom before day one and after day 3, then the trip back, it's a fair chunk of change. 3 Towers is great value. Trails are far superior to Sani (which they may as well just tar and make part of the tour of Mzanzi) and it's half the distance from JHB. Do it NOW before it's cost goes up more.
  4. I see what you did there...
  5. Uuh, wait... Will there be testing...? The size of the guns depends largely on that...
  6. No, they're XTR, coz I'm fast, way faster than you...
  7. 2009 26" SantaCruz Superlight
  8. *Double post...
  9. I'm in. Will pull through with NSBB. It's not safe travelling alone out there. I'll bring my own 'special' steaks that I buy from Alberto Contador's butcher.
  10. Why...? Will that determine whether the fine/whatever you wanna call it is affordable for me or not...? It's one of those MTN Quebeka bikes... Helpful...?
  11. Sensible advice, which I'll follow. I posted and updated here because I thought it might be informative and a good opportunity for hubbers to get an 'inside look' at how it all works, which I think it has been. I'm sure another 29r vs 26r vs 650b vs clipless vs flats vs what tyres for my 29r would have been better. To be honest I don't give a continental crap what the naysayer's think of me. Every know it all can post their opinions here till the cows come home, but the fact is the decision lies with CSA, and that's all that will ultimately count. I've not hidden anything and have thick skin and my head held high. I've not lost any friends or family over this, and that won't happen no matter what the outcome. For those who are interested in the process, I'll post details as to what's going on as n when I find out. I'll be back in action and racing competitively for top 300 places in 2015. See u at the races then.
  12. There's absolutely no way I CAN pay. Ghey...
  13. How bout meeting us there on sat morning for a ride...?
  14. Let's clear a few things up. There has not even been a preliminary, or any other type of hearing yet. From my understanding, the UCI is following the same protocol that they would for a professional athlete caught doping. I doubt there are 2 sets of rules, one for pro's and one for amateurs. The acceptance of sanction is just an 'option' for me to consider. By the looks of things, I have the option to waive this, and should I choose to, then the UCI will allow CSA to take the matter over from there. To date the only communication between myself and CSA has been William's initial call to me and the email the next day, followed by me calling him to ask WTF about the press release. I'm quite sure the process will now be handled between CSA and myself. Let's not all jump the gun n become experts on what are still hypothetical scenarios. The consequences you're saying are 'here', aren't exactly yet. Nothing has been finalised, and I'm following the process as it unfolds, using what rights I appear to have been given. Would everyone's 'BUUUURN HIM...!!!' opinions be the same if it wasn't steroids...? What if it was weed or cold medication...? Does R26+k seem fair...? Would you simply take that on the chin...?
  15. And seeing as you've been hubbing for years now, you can tell.
  16. Well, he's Australian... Nuff said...?
  17. Well, by not agreeing to the acceptance of sanction, it looks like it gets handed over to CSA now. I'll wait and see.
  18. It was Logwood. No longer exists...
  19. I was suspended on the 17th of May. Should the final outcome be that I'm banned for 2 years, that sentence will be dated back from the date of suspension.
  20. Is this enough for the owners of the farm to finally sort out the holes in the palisade fence bordering Liefde n Vrede...? Glad the bastard was caught. I hope he 'fell' face first several times into somebody's foot.
  21. That's what I suggested to the UCI. I cc'd William Newman (the big cheese at CSA) in on the mail and await a response. I was provisionally suspended from all races until the outcome. A few ppl have suggested just racing anyway and stuff CSA, but that's not the right thing to do. Also, the last thing I need is a heaftier sentence for blatant defiance. I'll take the 2 years, but there's no way I'm paying a fine. Telling them it's not within my financial means is not just a story, it's a fact, and that's exactly what I've said.
  22. Seems trivial and insignificant, but honestly, for me, not being able to participate in events with my mates is quite punishing. I'd love to ride 3 Towers this year. 2 years of no events is really ***.
