If I were to go the 1x up front setup, it'll be on a light weight xc racing hardtail, so I don't want the 'clutter' of a guide. A clean, simple look is what I'm after. What does a decent guide go for as a matter of interest...? A top quality one.

It's not cheap for the genaral lee kit, plus you need a woolftooth blade. But still a lot less than XX1 or XO1. 'Cept there's no 42 at the back.
