  1. Was the article written by the same wannabe 'journalist' that penned the article on quad bikes on the spruit that got all the other stuff removed for us...? I wish bumping people off wasn't a punishable offense...
  2. So it's warming up a bit, who's up for riding at rietvlei 2moro night...? Every tues and thurs for that matter...
  3. Carbon compound...? Or wrap a bit of insulation tape round the post...?
  4. It's not that bad! Aren't we supposed to be all for fitness and stuff? Alternatively - anyone keen to take Friday off and build some ramps over the offending blockades? Have you lost your mind...?!!! Some twat might impale themself on the fence' date=' and ramps would mean someones tyres would leave the ground, and the spruit has a strict zero fun unless the rubber is firmly planted on the ground policy.[/quote'] Good point! So you joining us? If the okes don't do a nice long ride from the nursery here in va deep souwf on sat, i might be keen. From paulshof to alberts n back...?

  6. Took the words right outta my mind...
  7. Got a fizik gobi on my xc rig, after the initial feeling that i'd been molested by a large congonese gentleman in a police holding cell, the seat softened up a lot n my butt now likes it more, so i bought another for my freeride rig, great looking too...
  8. Logwood is always perfectly maintained, only ever seen it overgrown slightly once, at the end of the rainy season, otherwise it's in tip top shape. Rode there last week and only zombie birdhouse was closed coz they're workin on something at the start of the loop...
  9. Ooh those shorts are naughty hey... Toit like a toiger for extra sexiness...
  10. Fu*?$rs...!!! Cant believe they took it down. Are they gonna blast the big rock near rustenburg road into lil pieces in case some moron rides down it on his forehead... Absolutely pathetic...! Might as well fill the stream up with sand too, coz some twat will slip on the rocks that we'll now have to walk on n then those too will have to go...
  11. You can't really compare Logwood with Northern Farm, they cater for different types of riding/riders. I'd gladly pay 50 bux to ride single track with drop-offs n bridges n steep crazy descents n platfotms n obstacles before i'd pay 9 bux to ride neverending boring jeep track n sand roads and zero technical stuff. It costs money to maintain a place like logwood, not nearly as much to maintain the 'trails' at NF. It's all relative. Giba will charge more too eventually. Is 50 bux a lot of money these days...?
  12. The same people who don't ride the see saw won't ride a bridge either. Maybe if it's 5 metres wide...
  13. Naah TNT, u don't geddem for mtbs...
  14. At the very least tho, i think if something is outside a person's skill level to attempt and there are 30 people waiting behind you to ride the obstacle that u're unclipping to walk down/across, that people can move off the line n let you pass. I often get to sections, even on jeep track, where 2 people will be walking side by side talking n when u ask for clear track they turn n give you daggers... Every1 has there strengths n weaknesses, just seems that the sand road speedsters have it lucky enuff that there's ample room to pass a slower rider when it's your turn to come alive. Us technical enthusiasts (especially me at 90kg's) don't get to enjoy the difficult stuff as much... But, i am on diet and am training my ass off to get fitter n faster to be at the front...
  15. Any1 tried hittin it a lil faster n launching off it when it's only dropped half way...? FUN...!
  16. Do they lock the bull up in DHL's warehouse there...? What time do they normally let him loose on the spruit...?
  17. Aah, the gift that keeps giving...
  18. Tho with your tyre being as f*&?$d as it is, would you wanna risk certain disaster by having anything to do with the clown that 'runs' that place near your bike...?
  19. On the trail in an emergency where a tube is the only option, you could even use a bank note as a gater if you had nuthin else...
  20. Depending on the size of the cut, you could use an ordinary bicycle patch, even the ones you get in the cheap kits at pick n pay, you know, the patches with the orange border that come in different sizes, just use a better fluid than in those kits tho... I'd say if the cut was longet than a centimetre, or in the sidewall, rather replace the tyre. The mission for me isn't putting a tube in (which i just slap in there with the slime n worry bout sortin it out later) or taking the valve out. The messy part is having to feel your way thru the slime for any thorns in the tyre that could potentially puncture the tube u just put in as soon as you re-inflate...
  21. Just the normal plug it with a snotty like you will on a car or motorbike. I've started carrying a couple different sizes now tho, in case of a large cut, so you can use one thick plug as opposed to tryna get 3 small ones to seal the gash... Then when you get home seal it ftom the inside with a patch n some heavy duty vulcanising fluid...
