  1. Just as cyclists expects motorists to look out for them, sure just like that cyclists must look out for pedestrians? Amazing how cyclists want to be the victim of entitlement on the one side (cars vs bike) and the hero of entitlement on the other (vs a lesser mode of mobility). Bigger/faster/more dangerous MUST take care and practice courtesy to those who are 'lesser'. ALWAYS! Good on the OP for standing his ground. Bicycles (MTBs) should be able to traverse the unevenness next to a footpath with greater safety than a pedestrian in any case. So why force a pedestrian off a road, and to a standstill just because you have an easier mode of getting around?
  2. Any hubbers willing to offer him cleat/saddle height adjustment advice for his sore knees?

  6. R75 is good enough. Unless you want to ride licensed vets/ladies or elite
  7. rulez r rulez. A warning of DQ would have been better though (Maybe it wasn't heard because of the earphones?). A lot has been said at races re earpieces, so if the the commissionaires are gatvol of talking and no action by the participants, then so be it
  8. When a stranger calls you lovey.. another irritation, even more so in a professional environment.
  9. Ideal race for sandals and single speed, rather than one of the momentum series event? edit: damn it is part of the Momentum series

  12. Lovely downhill section through the two tunnels after that first 'bump'. I hit some real good speeds going down to the left turn last year:) The wind caused some havoc with the deep section riders and some of us with bladed spokes... auto lane change at 60km/h+ is not as much fun as what some will think.
  13. Would love to know the ANT and Bluetooth values for radiation levels. ..
  14. I must still do a full on prep - Camelbak bladder is full of Milton water at the moment. Guess it is either prepare, or alternatively it'll be a run rather than a MTB ride tomorrow morning

  23. Surely you are not referring to yourself here? Please give the hub names of your family!
  24. I'm still waiting for the Northern Quickie from last year to be loaded after it was advertised as a SASeeding (friendly) event. Followed it up with SAS and their excuse was that they are waiting for the results from the organisers....... Organiser details lead to unanswered / dead phones. It will be SO easy for CSA to enforce the submission of results to a central database to create a seeding ladder as part of the 'endorsed by'/sanctioned status. If no results, then some kind of deposit is lost.... However there is too much politics and big heads involved.
