Are you suggesting the two hours of cycling income does have an impact on the operational survival of the track? Your point will work only if the sustainability model of the track was based on both car racing and cycling being income streams for the track. I guess time will tell............... :D

Okay, let look at this Kyalami issue from a different angle. The track was built for racing cars that is their core business. Opening it to cyclist for two hours does not in my view incur a significant cost especially considering that there is nothing else that is provided other than a guy collecting the cash on entry. I just feel that the price increase is not justified purely this being an extra income at relatively very little or no cost. They don't clean the tyre debris before cyclist get on the track, there is no water being handed or any form of support so what the heck justifies the increase? This is a case of greed, pure greed. The track is not losing anything by giving two hours access to cyclist because the business model is based on racing cars. Anything else is pure EXTRA!!!!!!

Did you send your details to Andrew per his post above and has he sorted this issue. For 30k you deserve better service than this.I would take my cash and look else where am sure there is someone with a decent service for that kind of cash.If its Cycle Lab then demand they call Andrew to the shop floor and sort the mess pronto on your next visit. Crap service should not be tolerated even for 3cents spend by any once called a customer.

I am a roadie but must admit, MTBikers are getting a heck lotta stronger and faster, you wonder why are they sticking in the bush when they too love speed. The other point on no place to hide in the bunch is sure test of strength on MTBikers, its everyman for himself unlike roadies where some lazy bums just hang at the tail and power towards the end to cross the line. Real MTB is not sissies ,I can vouch for that...................

Lots of nice roadies out there. I fell down and dislocated my shoulder on 10th October in Muldersdrift and some guys helped me. made a sling out of my tube to keep the sholuder steady and asked a guy with a bakkie to give me a lift back to Lion and Rhino Park where i had left my car. Well done Wolfy....................keep up the good name of roadies!! Put the pic up of that kit, sounds a sight to see.

This is a complaint to myself. I am scared sh*tless of riding my bike since I fitted look cleats and pedals. I tried to ride once or twice and was falling like a sack of potatos coz i couldn't kick out quickly since then i have only been on the bike on the indoor trainer. Just today I couldn't go to Kyalami to train for fear of falling. I am now having nightmares of whether i will do good time in the 94.7 challenge just 8wks away. Seriously thinking of going back to to my stirrups and waste energy pumping into my takkies than have the advantage of proper shoes but not get on the bike...........EISH this sucks!!

Looks like they have not updated the search engine as this still reflects Pick N Pay though teh date of 15 November is correct from what i see here. will be interesting to see what happens to the routes this year........city centre loop???
