  2. also another idea have you checked that your lockring is the right size lockring for the smallest cassette sprocket???
  3. Mapep i have heard about a vibration caused while freewheeling downhill that the guy thought it was his pedals but ended up being his headset in the end thats why i asked have you checked that your front derailer is not touching on your chainring in any way through your pedal stroke and have you also checked that your front derailer is not under-tightened if it is a braze on derailer???
  4. is it while you are peddaling????? sorry might be a dumb question
  5. ? Just wait for the dirt jumps to be finished.? I'm sure you'll still be bored with it. If you bored with it you not going fast enough!!!!!!! but seriously though i like to ride out to logood from kempton and then do about two hours of technical riding then ride home total ride time 6 hours and total riding distance 150km really is a wonderful place but will be sad to see it go

  10. no worries dude thanks very much!!!!
  11. fand stop stirring and reply to my mail Re saddles please dude well thats if you got it
  12. That is true williehond and i agree but in jhb where you cant even sneeze ithout the chance of being knocked over and the fact that i refuse to train indoors i would rather not worry at all
  13. i actually agree with the colonel here abut not worrying about that stuff because i race with nothing that will make my bike heavier than the 10kg's it already is i dont even race with an HRM or a speedometer and i am doing so much better than when i was because i dont have to worry about if my heart rate says 190 or 150 i just go all out till i finish!!! yes i know it is wrong but i get distracted easily and having another thing to worry about other than staying in the bunch will just make me drop easier
  14. test ride bth and see which one is more comfortable but in my opinion i would go for the 16" with a slightly longer stem due to top tube clearance because sometimes that is a bugger when you come off
  15. any bike store will have good deals and not so good deals do a bit of shopping around because there are way too many bike brands to even remember at the moment however a few i can reccomend you do look at are planet x CKT and Tribal cycles all three of the guys involved are hubbers and will definitely stand by thier products!!!!
  16. I know' date=' I understand if we are doing some track drills and everyone's on the small chainring, but out on the road doing a group ride?!? Come on, let me ride at my cadence!? I nearly told them to do what that guy told Poison Ivy to do!!!!!![/quote'] hahahaha on the track it is a completely different story it will always be the guy that has the best and most efficient legspeed that will win but out on the road conditions change and you get things called hills and everyone climbs at thier own pace (some too fast for words) and in the end the guy on the road that K@Ks off the most wins thats the simple truth and cant tell you how many times i have experienced it!!!!
  17. if you are comfortable then go one gear easier and then that is the ultimate sweet spot from my experience everyone is different and they really shouldnt preach unless they have a degree behind them
  18. ok i getting popcorn good luck with this one Spartan!!!
  19. goofs might not be the majority but it is still enough of them to be able to get us all tarred by the same brush
  20. that looks wicked Spano to answer your question this is a XC race bike with 20mm travel at the back if i am not mistaken adopted from KHS to allow for a bit less trail feedback into the riders AR$E for a more comfy ride i dont know how it doesnt snap but it seems to work pretty well
  21. Very well done!!!!!!!!!!
  22. dude i race a dura ace cassette and train ona 105 cassette dont stress it really is actually the same thing with different materials and different weights and yes the same goes for campy
  23. read my post earlier in the thread he is a hubber but has not posted in ages due to work restraints and he is by no means affiliated to TCS in any way
  24. Yes Muxman very good point i am also sick of the people who always complain but can never do anything that they seem to love to preach about
