  7. mak daddy the inner of the casing is the problem its a very thin tube that gets buggered up by the outer bling because it is very soft the simple thing here is that if you want bling buy new wheels if you want your cables to look flash then you in the wrong sport
  8. my target time is not up there
  9. intern i try my best hey
  10. should have seen the mechanic at cool heat cursing this funrider from cape town that sent his bike all the way up to jhb because his brakes were not releasing properly and his gears were skipping all of this on a Dura ace equipped bike Cause being alligator cables so all he did was pack it up again and send a nice little letter back saying Use the proper stuff and you wont have to look like an idiot
  11. ok type in fountains caravan park and when you have reached that gate carry on about 1km down the road and the gate is on your left
  12. Muxie sorry for the late reply there is always the bedfordview bunch or the edenvale peddlars i do know that the vale peddlars meet at the la conga road house at about 6h30 please dont shoot me if i am wrong but that was the time the last time i checked
  13. Neotel doesnt need that bar they just use the bumper but i am getting a scooter soon that will have the same sort of setup so that i can hire it out for track duty on a wednesday night at the track for motor pacing practice
  14. Thanks BB quicker than me to the draw speak later guys off to the bank to go pay some hubbers!!! also contact your BMW dealership closest to you they buy the barrels of Oko for thier run flat tires (dont shoot me down thats what my uncle who was one of the on call mechanic's at BMW told me and thats how i get mine) turtlek2008-10-24 02:52:49
  15. I vote Oko aswell but put a bit of stans or joes in there so that it runs freely in the tyre and doesnt gunk up in one spot and cause the wheel to have a heavy spot also the Choopless conversion as explained here on the hub is a great idea i use it and so far no problems i also have connections fro those ever scarce 20" road bike valve tubes
  16. Muxie I ride for big mig's club in fact i am riding with big mig at the sabie experience later this year you will see that frans's group is made out of three different clubs on a sunday with his club being the biggest at the start of it but powerade and DCB\FiT being the bigger part of the group at the end of the ride Big mig's club is DCB logistics anybody can join this ride on a sunday and the reason for the cost involved is that they have a back up vehicle that follows the riders the whole ride the contact for sundays rides is either frans or his tandem partner as far as i know but PM Big Mig he knows a little bit more about this ride because i hardly ride with the bunch due to Work commitments (or as the guys say when i am in the bunch secret training) i wont be seeing you this weekend because i am racing in suspension city at the local girls school there but hope you find out the info required enjoy your dayturtlek2008-10-24 02:38:27
  17. hey ricky sorry to hear about the sad news you and me both need a holiday hope you sort out a decent sponsorship for next year and hope you get better soon have a good one and keep strong
  18. tufo have the lightest tubbie on the market if i am not mistaken they are used on all the cervelo show bikes because they are lighter than any other tubbie stewart can get hold of!!!!
  19. i do know you are sick dude i am not doubting that for a second but you seem to be tripping over your feet here i am not implying that you didnt have the money at the time but seriously be honest from the get go and people will think differently it really does not help to try explain three different stories to 7 different people and let the thing drag on only for your name to be dragged through the dirt we are not your enemy's and most of the guys here will go out of thier way to help a hubber just dont make everyone your enemy's
  20. Stm i have watched this thread very carefully and your last post really screws you over even more than anything else i bank with ABSA the company i work for banks with FNB and the money reflects in my account at midnight of the night that i get paid so in other words they do the deposit on the 25th in the morning and it reflects by midnight that night there is no bank that will take longer than 24hours to transfer the money and if you did make the transfer this afternoon it should be in by tomorrow morning sorry dude but this is really messed up hey
  21. and when you go through a pothole you spend more money on them than you did for a new set of wheels thanks to the spokes breaking
  22. Johan after yesterday my rims touch the brake blocks more than once on either side of the rim every revolutin is this a bad thing??????????????????????????? seriously now johan speaks alot of sense here and i can fully agree with this notion of stiff enough being stiff enough and in all honesty why do you want to compare apples with apples when the only real difference is looks if you really want a good wheel go with the wheel that looks and feels the best to you on a ride i am sure your lbs will let you ride a set of each to see which one you are going to buy so in the end dont worry about stiffness or weight unless youre going to be racing against the boys in le tour next year!!!!

    Shaving

if your hair is very long on your legs use an electric trimmer first to clean the leg so your normal razor blades dont get gunked up with hair then go as far up as you feel comfy with and the real reason is it makes it sooooo much easier to get the tar out of your skin after a crash believe me i know!!!!!!!!!!
  24. PB my work pc crashed last night and at the moment i am working on a pentium 2 that is slower than aids i will post the pictures as soon as i get my pc back so sorry
