  1. very swak dude! i would lay off the running for now as this seems to be the trigger! will mail you some strengthening exercises that will help but not put pressure on it. But R.I.C.E is always good.

  6. True, but would I then need to bleed the brakes again when replacing the hose with a new one?
  7. I bought a new set of XT Brakes inc hoses but the rear hose is too short. Is it advisable to use the hose from my old set and just swap them? I would how ever need to cut and swap the connections at the calipers as they are different as seen in pics. both Brake Sets have been bled and in great working order.

  9. Im off to the Matroosberg this weekend and would like to do some riding. I know there are some trails around where we are staying (in the reserve), but want to fit in a good training ride +-5 hours or 80kms. can anyone help with maps or tracks?

  11. weather looks like it may hold out, if it stays like it is i will head out, probably to signal hill and back. so if anyone is keen to bust out their lights feel free to join.
  12. I had a fall a while ago and managed to pull the muscle off of the bone on my fore arm and bruise the elbow. I struggled for 2 weeks and had a dull pain every night that kept me up. I started icing it 10mins on, 10 mins off and used a orthfit tubular bandage ( available at click or diskem) just as compression. It increased the healing speed and felt a lot better. Maybe try the same.

  18. makes sense, but I didn't think that it would affect it by as much as 10%. I will compare exact same routes that I have done in different conditions and see what the deviation is if any.

A question for fellow Bryton Users. when I look at the total elevation gain on historic rides on my device the Total elevation gain differs from the number once uploaded, and the difference can be as much as 8-10%. I have also noticed that my total gain readings are always lower than what is stated in race profiles. this weekend on a race where there was a claimed 1050m my device showed 885m and once uploaded only 794m. This is a big difference! the device is a rider 35. Anyone else noticed this on their devices?
  20. at the moment about 8 hours a week, of which one is a longer 4-5 weekend ride.
  21. Nice race! Enjoyed the route and vibe. Surly someone would sponsor this event, seems to be well supported and over the biggest weekend on the Franschoek calendar.
  22. In the same boat bud! as I look out the window at table mountain on this glorious day, I sink deeper into my depressive state as I am forced to stick to spinning while the shoulder and arm heal up! good luck!
