  1. Nice going to Almeda, still looking okay there.

Beretta make some excellent products, it’s just a pity the agent in SA is more useless than brakes on a tortoise

You were one of the unfortunate ones for sure. In terms of breakages and returns the brand I saw come back the least was Glock, then S&W and CZ but they were at like 3 returns for every Glock return, which in any event wasn’t very often. All the big brands make a solid product these days.
  4. Ah no, sorry to hear. Strength to you, and hopefully you feel better soon.
  5. I’d really like to see Almeida win this; I know it’s a big ask now. He’s a young inexperienced guy that’s really held on in those really tough moments when he lacked the power that some others had. He’s shown determination, grit, maturity and surprised many people.
  6. A few broken bones it seems, but not too serious. https://www.stickybottle.com/latest-news/broken-bones-for-alaphilippe-after-flanders-crash-with-motorbike-video/?fbclid=IwAR2zsCHvrzShS_9M2ZpAlZGGR38XbvlmjpYVn-WqKX5j2pm-p3L9A62Awcg
  7. Terrible, I was so glad to see those 3 out front and it would have been so awesome to see the 3 star f them going at it all the way.

I understand, but give it a try a few times and you’ll see what I mean. [emoji1303] Even if you have no interest in winning there’s also the matter of having a little more enjoyment that’s important so that you actually carry on doing it. I also used to keep my carry gun for carry and range use about 4 times a year so as not to put too much wear and tear on my carry option but that’s more a consideration for higher round counts (maybe in your further future) and magazine preservation; although I tested all my mags I never used carry mags for sport. It’s okay, as you get into things the various nuances will become apparent but there’s no rush and they can be addressed one at a time in their own time. Warning: if you get into the sport it gets a bit like bikes, there’s always more go faster kit and goodies that looks good to have [emoji3] and don’t skimp on ear and eye protection, you only get one pair of ears and eyes.
  9. Small self inflicted crash for WvA

All the best, I hope you never need to use it in anger and if you do that you do so effectively. You were asking about doing some sports shooting before, you will struggle with a 43, so I’d recommend that when the budget allows you get a 17 for sport use or a 19 for sport / carry combo. The good thing about getting another Glock for sport is that the guns are effectively the same in operation so changing mags, clearing malfunctions etc will all be the same, only the size and feel will vary.
  11. This Ronde? [emoji16] Too soon / cruel?
  12. DQS really look like a team that have got it together I must say. The others seem a bit more hit and miss at the moment.
  13. But can they close a gap after the next climb, we shall see
  14. I thought Sagan would pull more of a gap on this climb.
  15. Apparently Vaughters has made his name pep stores a bit and has back tracked a touch; not to mention irritated the Italians [emoji1] He is apparently not at the race himself and wrote that letter after hearing certain rumours that have since been rubbished. Anyhoo, we shall see.
  16. Some riders calling for the race to be stopped: https://www.stickybottle.com/latest-news/video-shows-lax-covid-19-measures-at-giro-as-riders-call-for-stop-to-race/?fbclid=IwAR1z3J_GtzykgtbzTGPxCd6PQwLVatBMFPB0DPCHQMB105byXr2nWDf9gho
  17. Team Trek looked pretty broken and the pink jersey continues to surprise and impress me.
  18. I was out for a slower (if you can imagine that) spin today and for most of it I was just thinking to myself how amazing the countryside is here and how grateful I am to be able to enjoy it on a bike as I do. My life has completely changed and it’s such an amazing improvement.
  19. Really?! [emoji1] If I cycled in zone 1 for an hour I’d probably get about 12km done [emoji2359] and for me to get to around a 28km/h average I’d have to be in.... well, I’d have to be in someone else’s body as I haven’t managed that yet. [emoji2359][emoji2359]
  20. Not quite a TV show but I stumbled across Peak, an NTT pro cycling film today https://youtu.be/f173FH_wEx0
  21. For those who like to shoot the odd video give this a watch. It’s pretty cool stuff that is coming through: https://youtu.be/aqvZ-Tl_BRM

    [emoji1319][emoji1319] those were the days
  23. Bwa ha ha ha, you’re welcome [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]
  24. It was indeed, well done to him.
  25. Thanks and thankfully, it looked really bad.
