  1. A cool 30odd Km spin on the local country roads. I’m really enjoying this semi-country life, passed a bunch of sheep with lambs and horses with foals. The fields are wonderful and the roads are scenic for sure. [emoji7] loving this new activity.
  2. Well this is a ****** in my life. I asked Spez Ireland if they were expecting a 2021 model less than a month ago and they're currently building me a bike with the spec I want, but it costs extra because I wanted GRX, and guess what..... The exact spec they're building me on an old frame and its CHEAPER!: https://www.specialized.com/us/en/diverge-comp-carbon/p/175285?color=290924-175285&searchText=96220-5249
  3. Not at all. I've been watching gravel bike stuff all lockdown, and the variety out there is vast. Some running 700 x 35 (or narrower) and some running 2.25 MTB rubber for example. Its extremely broad, it actually seems to be a "whatever you want it to be" category and the conditions and terrain tend to determine the build.
  4. It was rough man ha ha ha ha ha [emoji1]
  5. I took a ride out in the country within our new 5km radius limit, and also the longest ride I’ve done in some time. It was amazing out there.
  6. So awesome to see your pics. Enjoy!
  7. Here’s an odd fallout we’re seeing here - with so many people now walk-in their dogs and so few picking up after them we now have a situation where there is ample dog turd on all main walking routes. Some just left where it is, some picked up in bags and tossed into the bushes. It’s really quite sad to see in some places and people’s attitudes towards cleaning up after their dogs is quite disappointing.
  8. That’s awesome, enjoy it. #sincerely
  9. Nice. Are there no restrictions on distance from home or anything up there in the North?
  10. Just back from taking the kids for some fresh sanity within our 2km radius. The second pic is outside the local hospital, the sign and flag are a thank you to frontline workers.
  11. So keeping in mind that I only have MTB kit for now, I have some Cape storm shorts (don’t like), some Endura Humvee shorts (the inner is meh and the outer is tough and rugged, but noisy and not a joy), a Velotex bib (comfortable chamois and fit but the silicon bites into the leg like a bear trap) and a Specialized Atlas shorts. The last are my favourite, a thinnish chamois stitched into a sort of thin mesh bib with the most comfortable elastic retention and a pair of shorts that go over them.
  12. Bwa ha ha ha ha ha Awesome post
  13. For a thinner chamois try the Pearl Izumi Pro Bib maybe.
  14. Thank you, Always good to hear what folks are enjoying
  15. Hi folks, I hope you’re not struggling too much under the circumstances and that you are well. Do you have a bib / longs / chamois/ riding pant for road duty that you recommend or really appreciate above any others? Maybe you even have different ones for different conditions. I’d love to hear what you enjoy using.
  16. I can, and it’s not cool at all.
  17. And any number of laps and winding roads within that radius. Shame, some of our Olympic hopefuls are doing training rides within a 2km radius. Can you imagine the mind numbingness of that. But at least they can
  18. Took a spin in awesome weather today. Them country roads. I did stay within the 2km radius of our home as required.
  19. This can make such a big difference. I was starting to feel like the joy was going recently as I kept pushing for faster times etc. I went out the other day just to enjoy the view and outdoors and it all felt awesome again (and I still finished with a pretty decent time).
  20. I believe it’s called the Leinster Aquaduct just outside Naas, Ireland
  21. I have his brother, the blue Native in my pocket today. [emoji1303]
  22. Representing for the Irish contingent here. We had sunshine today which was great, but don’t be fooled, it was about 2 degrees when I started and there was still snow higher up. It was still a good spin though.
