  1. Here’s a video explaining what others have said about the trainer difficulty setting https://youtu.be/dRTMxPgWuzU
  2. If it’s essentially just “changing your gearing” then I suppose it’s fair enough since there are many gear options available out there .
  3. If a hill is too steep then don’t you just avoid it as you would in real life, or is it difficult to know in advance?
  4. Why would one not want to run it in ERG mode and / or trainer in most difficult mode? On the surface it seems that it’s a good idea to have things seem as “real world” as possible?
  5. Enjoy The weather has been really rubbish here with more ahead.
  6. Can’t the HR strap connect directly to Zwift?
  7. I assume that nobody uses their cycling computer while zwifting, and you just connect your HR monitor smart trainer etc and get the data displayed on the HUD on Zwift and then it gets sent to Garmin / Strava when you end the activity?
  8. Watch the video of Remco trying to walk again. Work ahead for sure. http://www.stickybottle.com/latest-news/video-of-evenepoel-in-hospital-shows-damage-caused-by-crash/
  9. I’ve been following your story with the idea that my body will never allow me to do the riding I’d like to sitting in the back of my mind. Having just spent €4K on a bike without a motor I’m determined to try and get there no matter what and will put in as much effort as I can. But, the doubt still lingers.... Yes we are, and we keep trying.
  10. You’re not alone [emoji1] I’m at about 30km at 22kph (elevation 340m). I have the lungs for more but the legs are rubbish. Any little pushing and I have knee issues that force me off the bike for a few weeks. I did 132km last week with a 50km in there but I’m feeling it in what I think is a tendon - I couldn’t sit less symmetrically on a bike [emoji1] I guess we just keep plugging away until we get there.
  11. Sorry about that [emoji52]
  12. Got caught in a heavy downpour on country roads here today, what a mess. Bought an IDT this evening in anticipation of the coming months.
  13. White collar on Netflix; easy watching, nothing heavy
  14. Remco looks good in his video released by the team http://www.stickybottle.com/latest-news/video-evenepoel-sends-determined-message-from-hospital-bed/
  15. I feared so much worse when I saw that drop I’m super glad that he seems relatively okay, yet sad that his form has been interrupted. Strength to him for the recovery.
  16. I went from hoping he would win to hoping he would be okay
  17. Oh **** me I hope Evenepoel is okay, that’s horrible. I feel sick having seen that.
  18. Happy for the youngster [emoji1319] two great wins for him.
  19. Indeed. It feels like it’s rained most days though so we pay for it like that. Right now it’s beautiful here but it must be one of maybe 10 nice days this summer and it’s 19 degrees [emoji16] although it feels more like 25
  20. I only discovered riding a bike on the road this year around March and I’m still amazed at how wonderful it is to see the country like that, although I’m sure the location matters.
  21. Any particular reason why you chose that over the new Roval Terra Carbon Seat Post?
  22. An old harbour on the canal, in a part where it comes to an end is very over grown and I think no longer used.
  23. Send pics once complete [emoji1303]
