  1. Im very good at measuring ladies bums... Try and find a Spez dealer, they have ass-o-meters (and nice saddles too)
  2. I get em too and they can last the whole day, even with medication. I used to get them everyday (even when not riding) and after some searching and specialists etc I discovered it had to do with my neck muscles among others; so now when I get it riding I'm pretty sure its because of the bend in my neck for long periods.
  3. Dude, you are far too kind... Im definitely maybe doing it, just those darn hills look nasty.
  4. The hills on the route profile look quite nasty
  5. Maybe he wants to qualify for the blind race too?
  6. Legs or no legs he is an arrogant prick who will fight at any opportunity as long as it suits him. W@nker
  7. On the 500 you have up to 6 pages, I suggest you put 2 per page, then you will be able to see them easier and for most people 12 values is more than plenty.
  8. Nooit, 15km too short and 50km is too long - 30 or 40 would do nicely
  9. Would love to, but I've committed to a residents association thing on Sat morning I'll have to ride Sunday.
  10. This is the way to organise a group ride; give it a heading then people can just copy the post and keep adding their names to the list
  11. You cant do a chilled and relaxed 50km ride?
  12. Heya Wayne, looks to me like this is the right place *looking around*. Unfortunately I'm taking this weekend off, or perhaps I could have conned you into 40 km at NF.
  13. @Joe_Cocks, did you see these posts?
  14. Have a gift arriving for my wife tomorrow, the two of us are also going out to dinner tomorrow night (if you have young kids you will know its a big deal) and I have told the family that I'm having a family only weekend, no riding, working or going out. Just saying.
  15. Thats why you plan ahead. If the 2 activities are too close then prioritise and compromise.
  16. Normally I would agree, if Im going to visit somebody or whatever then exact time and calling etc if late is important. The thing with MTB is that it can be risky and anything can happen, so allowances are best catered for up front. I can tell you that most of this came after my wife was told that I had a bad quad crash and that it didnt look good; needless to say she was beside herself and as it turned out it wasnt me at all.
  17. Apart from the fact that this violates rule 18 and gives the woman too much power (thats my macho speak), I have found that if I lose track of time, or am in a situation where I cant contact the Mrs to say Im late she stresses her @ss off that something bad has happened. We discussed it, and now I just let her know what time Im aiming to be back but no guarantees, and once I have finished my ride I iMessage her to say all is well. I guess this will vary from woman to woman.
  18. See this: Rule no. 18 - Never create expectations
  19. Your circumstances are special, and thankfully temporary. In the 1st year you and the Mrs and the little one just have to somehow make that dynamic work; cycling is a bonus.
  20. I'd never get on the bike We all have our problems.
  21. Where did you buy from?
  22. Its a good point, you dont want to be pushing hard down a technical descent because you are running late (you're in ***), then go over the bars and are more delayed (in more ***), end up having to go to the hospital for stitches (now you're deep in it), and have to pay for bike repairs (need I comment)...
  23. Rule no. 18 - Never create expectations
  24. Im going to write a book soon. Its a book for men on how to outsmart women and let them think they're winning
  25. I never promise a time. I indicate what Im expecting, but always keep in mind that a crash with a busted self or busted bike 30km from the car can cause delays.
