  1. I want one, no seriously I want a medium wheel sized bike, it will suit me perfectly. But till they make them officially I'll wait and ride my 29er, better to wear something too big than too small.
  2. Yes I use it on 3 for climbing, and I have set the rebound to be very hard/active/springy, still if fully open is 100% then switching to the hardest position only ads about 60% hardness, this on a 29er where a full lockout would be great for standing and climbing. The rp23 propedal is way too soft for standing.
  3. Im not happy with the rp23, there is not a big enough difference between full pro-pedal on and no-propedal fully open. Propedal is fine when sitting but as soon as I stand it bobs all over the place, and it has already too much psi in, I also do not use all the travel.
  4. I live on this stuff, mixed with 2 spoons of Evox Leanpro whey protien, and when my legs are sore, I add some glutemine to the mix
  5. I have already accepted to pay for the return journey by car, it is just about the principle, I think its a bit odd that I have to pay for petrol even when I commute by bike.
  6. Its not about the money and I would not expect him to pay for the return by car if he commutes back by bike.
  7. Me and my friend work at the same place, so we decided to commute together by car. So it is simply half each for petrol. But sometimes I take my bike with in the car to work and then ride back home. Should I then still pay petrol for driving in and driving home? Or should I then only pay petrol for the drive in?
  8. A 29er might look like a clown cause it got bigger boots, but a 26er rides like a circus bike and they always manage to make me laugh with all those accidental wheelies and going all over the place over some sand or loose. As for coolness I really dont give a crap when out in the bergs, the 29er rulez. Happy 29er day.
  9. I also don`t have a cap on my xt crank I thought it was not meant to have one, it has got a black thing with a hole in not sure if this is the cap. The crank has never came loose.
  10. You will never see me on an indoor trainer even though I will be indoors but if you could see through walls I would not be on one. The places I ride do not have these thorns, and I do ride all trails in Grabouw and Somerset West and Eden and Jonkers - they are only found in the lower lying western parts of the cape especially among vineyards. I just avoid paths that are really bad, but Bottelary trails seem to be used a lot and seems the thorns are cleared out of the paths
  11. My front is tubeless but not my rear, even if I am fully tubeless, it is wise to avoid thorn infested trails. Thorns break off in the rubber and when you get that fatal sidewall cut, your tube is gonna get stung and you gonna be walking the long way home. Just wanted to know if it is really badly thorn invested or not.
  12. The fear of duwweltjies/thorns has kept me and my friends away from these trails, is this a valid fear? I have not ridden here before...
  13. Yep happened to me I also thought it was the end but it was not. It did take very long to heal though, I think the fact that I was walking around while it was trying to heal made the healing process very slow. I felt that cycling helped the healing and caused no pain, but walking caused a lot of pain. But after about 4-6 months I was walking with now pain again. But if you do ride with your hip cracked, try not to fall on it again, remember to fall on the other hip.
  14. This thing has got that same G2 geometry as the Gary Fishers, so its got a G2 fork, which I don`t like, then I saw the new Merida Big 9s coming out, much better value and tops the Cube on my shopping list.
  15. For me there is no contest the giant wins, much better suspension in the rear, then also I have spoken to people owning the scott and they complained about handling, the giant has got great handling and the geometry just feels perfect.
  16. If you plan to do long marathon type riding the bigger wheels should be better. The 26er will be better in tight single track with lots of slow sections and accelerations. The 29er will be more stable on downhills, rocks, sand and turns.
  17. Maxxis Ikon Exo
  18. I disagree, Jonkers is still in quite good shape and a great place to ride. Canary trails are not so bad as to require maintenance right now. But yes it is getting very busy and more work will be required. I think they should up their entrance fee just a bit as I think R25 is cheap for what you get.
  19. Even more important than relying on tabs, since this happened at the beginning of the race, it might be that your pre-race stretching and warmup was not good enough?
  20. The DT M210 is not that great, heard bad things about it.
  21. If you are lucky, on my order they charged 40% duties even though on the package it was clearly marked "bike parts".
  22. Sell the bike and go 29er especially if hardtail. Worn chainrings means worn chain normally, worn chain could wear out the chainrings and cassette quicker, have your drivetrain checked for wear, check the chain with a chain checker tool.
  23. Nevagal is very very very slow it was the only tyre that the german rolling resistance test machine scored a out of scale result. Try a kenda excavator instead.
  24. Julle kan my vertel hoe lank ver en hard julle wil trap, wat van so 45km met 1000m klim en bietjie single track op die einde, seker so 3-4ure afhangende van spoed.
  25. As julle wil sal ek julle op n langer ry vat op lourensford
