  2. How NOT to do the Widowmaker (Hoogekraal, Cape Epic Prologue)
  3. How NOT to land a tabletop... (Epic Prologue, The Gorge on Hoogekraal)
  4. Sometimes I wish I'd carried on with my Mech Eng degree. But then I remember what that opened up for me (UK, Europe etc) and all the memories, and where I am now.
  5. I want to see that... Also, this looks like a good laugh! Definitely NOT for the kiddies!
  6. dude. Come along for the jol. It's a lekker set of trails, those, and a great day out. Even if just on a hardtail or XC bike. As long as you have fun! BTW - first "race" I would have been in in a little under 2 years. In that time, I've gained 10kg, lost a lot of pace but mostly just am entering for the feck of it. Couldn't care about my place.
  7. Which Iteration of the Mojo hasn't been on your wishlist? ;P
  8. if you got the credit card just for the watch, and didn't take the additional fees into consideration, well then you can't blame Discovery, can you.
  9. erm, no. You're paying for something that you wanted - an apple watch, interest free, over 2 years.
  10. AMPED! And yes, first time in more than a year that I'm doing an Enduro event. Probably finish last, but hey...
  11. They know... Trust me, they know... Thing is, they've got a data sharing agreement with Apple, so for that side of things it's like gold dust. Garmin would probably be a bit more difficult to get data agreements from, I presume.
  12. No worries. Just btw - that's also the type of client that I'd fire. The loyalty program / wellness benefit is separate to the cover. As a whole, yes - it makes it a better offering, just like Multiply makes Momentum's cover a better offering overall. But if someone wanted to move insurers based on Vitality / Multiply changing how they quantify fitness points allocations, and unless those changes make it completely impossible to get to Gold / Private Club, well then your priorities are in the wrong place.
  13. I have to ask... why!? If you're choosing your insurer based on their rewards / wellness program, you're doing it wrong. Yes, the discount in premiums if you're on private club is exceptional, but still. Moving as a result of vitality changing the points allocations, when they specifically stipulated that they were liable to change as they learnt more, is a bit silly. Especially when it's STILL easier to get points than it was last year.
  14. that's the one. A Line, starts on the CT side of the road. Walk over the road, over a drainage channel and up the hill, then down. That's the A Line / Race Line.
  15. Piece of string. A better solution would be to do a few trades spread over a few months, so that you effectively phase your cash in and get a spread of unit prices, thereby mitigating the effects of a market correction.
  16. Great news. And cool re the race line. I can dig it - it's a challenge. One that I'm nowhere near conquering, but getting better all teh time.
  17. Sweet. I can dig that. Some of them though - I need to get comfortable with riding ruts.
  18. Dude... It's riding nice at the moment, but some areas on the A-line. Holy rut city! Any plans to deal with that, or are they just going to be left to mature?
  19. Those 2015 Enduros were going for a really good price on sale.
