  1. all these decisions were governmental, not Eskom themselves.
  2. I'll agree with you there.. such fun to drive! Never should have sold mine. Edit. Not as fun as my mini was though. 1275e with a gts motor bored out to 1310cc. Hepalite pistons, fully balanced and with a 276 Cam. Even bought a 40DCOE for it before I sold it to fund my ticket to the UK. That thing was fun. Such fun.
  3. Yep. But he still didn't change the timeline. I have a feeling that they'll open it up pretty soon. Silvermine, that is. Hope so.
  4. There sure will. Hopefully we'll have more news than we do at the moment. Or, at least, more than has been made public already.
  5. 100% We have learnt from the past, but a lot of our success now stems from a change in guArd (Sandra Hollerman) and the formation of tokai mtb and the table mountain mountain biking forum. The committee is made up of passionate MTBers and is looking at working with parks To get a proper mtb venue. We also fit into their vision of the tokai precinct, in that they want a proper network of mtb trails to form a part of their offering. Thinking of the newsletter thing on the history of tokaimtb and parks ... got a few ideas. Lemme just bounce them around and see if I can do something wWith them.
  6. Paddy Gordon just been on Cape talk. Tokai and Silvermine still to be closed for 6 to 24 months pending investigation by various experts regarding soil structure and the regeneration of the area. Cape Pine accelerating exit strategy due to the fire, exiting within months. Areas will most likely be opened in stages according to the impact of the fire and their restoration of the areas affected. So essentially no change. Again... We are constantly communicating with parks in an attempt to get in asap.
  7. Hidden, it was! Thanks for fixing. BTW - still feel like a bit of a douche for saying there needs to be one, when there is... Well, more of a douche than I normally am.
  8. Awesome. Ah - I see D already has one going. Will send deets along as and when they arrive.
  9. yeah, there's this (thanks D) but I also want to get a proper mailing list / newsletter out every now and then. Some people just aren't on these platforms, and we know how social media works - FB timelines are based on your previous interaction with that group, so if it's far down the list, you never see it
  10. 100% At the moment it's all a bit - how can I say - chaotic. We're working on several things at the moment, but none of them have firm timelines. apart from our project charter, which we want to be finished asap but no later than end April. Which, IMO, is something that we need before we can say that we're doing XYZ, otherwise there aren't any deliverable terms and so on. The fire HAS stuffed things up a bit for the moment (short term) but right now we're working to get back into the park to assess the damage, and at the same time getting our structures sorted so that we can prep for the fundraising to start in earnest. That, however, won't start until we have timelines from Parks as to when we can start rebuilding. Which we're pressuring them for. We're also finalizing our project charter, which will be made public relatively shortly. That will work side by side with the EMP and Rationalisation project. It all hinges on timelines though. BTW - mailing list. We can't get a list from Parks that is specific to MTB, unfortunately (going to carry on trying) So I am thinking of ways to get it inclusive and easily accessible. Facebook, for all its usefulness, just DOESN'T work for stuff like that. how about - for the moment - ping me at mylesmayhew2409@gmail.com and give me your mail addresses so that I can collate them. Distribute this mail address to your mates and get them to send me a mail, or add their addresses to your mail so that when the newsletters DO start coming out (shortly) I at least have a group of contacts to send it to. Feel free to send it to as many people as you need to.
  11. That's one way to say you need to shed some weight...
  12. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!
  13. okay, scott is apparently 2.79kg for a MMMMMM vs 3.4 for the Pyga also in MMMMMMM. So you'll gain about 600g if you keep the parts the same.
  14. What's the current frame? That would give you the definitive answer ad the only thing that you'll change is that, surely...
  15. I reckon Stoner really got on well with that bike though. Yes, he was a bloody good rider, but I think it suited him down to the ground, and added to that it was the year where Duc just got it RIGHT. Before, it was a missile on 2 wheels, and then it had handling. Then all the rest caught up and, well, Lorenzo / Rossi etc won it back. TBH I think Stoner was one of those riders like Marquez. Just immensely talented, and could ride well on anything. I mean, just have alook at Marc's lean angles on his honda. It's a sight to behold.
  16. Okay screw that for a joke! May as well just do it myself. Easy peasy.
  17. Yeah, though duc didn't use the sift tires they're allowed to use as a factory team without a win in the last 3 years.
