  1. Lol. No you wouldn't! knolly aren't cheap by any stretch.
  2. Meh. Wheelbase won't increase. Dumbass. Such a stoopid I am at times.
  3. Not vastly, but your BB height will increase (good for pedal clearance, bad for handling in the tech stuff) and your wheelbase will increase SLIGHTLY. But - why would you do that, and what tires would fit on? If you're going from Crossmark to Crossmark, why not just go to a higher volume 26" tire and have all the handling benefits (lower pressures = more grip, bettwe traction on the ups and downs etc) with none of the expense? IMO if a 275 will only fit a crossmark, but you're doing trail riding and so on, it's not worth it.
  4. there's your caveat. A 26er with 2.5's will probably have the same overall circumference as a 27.5 with 2.1's. But - there again, the rider who specs 2.1's will do so no matter the wheelsize, so the comparison is flawed. Overall though, it just doesn't make that much difference.
  5. Their reasoning for it was pretty solid, IMO. Retaining short ass chainstays (just 4mm longer than the 26" 140mm knolly) and retaining small bump compliance to rival bikes with 20 - 30mm more travel. By all accounts it just WORKS. And it's part of their charm - it's interesting. Also retains a lot more stiffness in the rear than it would without that second linkage, which is also one of Knolly's trademarks. Read the review - it promises to be a very exciting bike with fantastic potential.
  6. Taahir, take Dave up on his offer. He's been waxing lyrical about those tyres and he (like me) needs as much grip as he can get.
  7. I liked it just so I could unlike it. GET THAT NN AWAY FROM THE FRONT! MK would be better at the front than an NN IMO. But the HD would be better than both.
  8. yeah, but then that version of the NN (the one you have) is a terrible tyre. HD trailstar. Go for it. Although my suggestion would be the Magic Mary if you didn't have timeframe pressures...
  9. of those 3 I'd say HD. In trailstar / vertstar snakeskin TLR version.
  10. Nice. YOu can carry a healthy amount of speed through there, so it makes sense. Also used to be some bigger jumps there anyway. Not the safest ones, but still. Needs more than what is there. Great idea re the trees & bos pinning up the road slope. With a bit more rain, that DH run could get a bit... yeah.
  11. Duane - jumps going to be just after the root section where the existing small stump jumps are? Or where that failure of a tabletop is?
  12. from both sides... I'm pretty sure Parks will not entertain that at all. Allow a 3rd party to take over the guard post, activity cards (only for MTB) and then control the flow of money? No chance.
  13. Nice to have, for sure, but it won't prevent me from riding there. Just need a changeroom and a spare set of clothes, and you can shower at home.
  14. Not sure on the Zewenwacht side of things ito access and who to speak to. But, as for how to find out, phone the farm, speak to other people on the WPDH facebook group, or start a thread on here. It's really not difficult.
  15. Yeah, you have rogue riders to thank for the restriction of access to various trail sections (green corridor etc) so you're in the same boat.
  16. But - in the case of ignorance, there are generally marked trails on the estate, AFAIK. And the "guide" would have known. Generally speaking, there are maps available for the trails, and anywhere that isn't marked is a no go. If in doubt, ask the landowner or official on the site.
  17. It's your obligation to ensure that you are able to ride where you ride. No getting around that. In the case of Zewenwacht, it's private land, so the onus is even more on you to ensure you don't stuff up. Ignorance is not an excuse (as much as people like to claim it is)
  18. But to the op - glad you're okay. That could have gone a LOT more pear shaped.
  19. W ooooooooh hooooo! I nominate Iwan as the recipient of the next Bells award. Seriously, bro. Top work. I hope the landowner follows through and bans all involved. Yes, it'll be an case of "making an example" but it needs to be done. Rogue riding is far too rife.
