  1. Yes the xt rear derailleur will work. And yes the top pull front derailleur would be the one to get. Edit: and patches comes in with a text-book like approach. Nicely done, dude.
  2. AG man get over yourself. It's your choice to be offended on this one, given the clear reference to cyclists not being able to discern between red and green and the parallels that draws with colour blindness.
  3. Neither. I'm one of the dumbasses that only crosses when it's green.
  4. It's "sarcasm" but sarchasm is a neat new word. Thanks for that! Illustrates quite perfectly the "chasm" or gap between the intentional sarcastic tone and one's understanding thereof!
  5. Erm. Red, orange, green and the fact that those that are colour blind can't really tell the difference between them? But if you take offense to it, that's your own issue.
  6. Yeah. Very impressive! As was Raikonnen's 7 place ascent, and Grosjean's 3rd. Gonna be interesting at Ferrari next year. Pity Alonso didn't pip Hamilton at the end though.
  7. Still on, dude. Just need to confirm a booking. Not much I can do about it now - gotta wait for the swelling to subside anyway.
  8. Ya bro. Med aid has spaaaaans of savings left for this year. And gap cover needs to be tested.
  9. Shot bro. Will bring her around on Tuesday. She likes being brushed clean. Tingles her schpongle
  10. Just as well I have a mate who has jut come off the rehab of doing his MCL. So I didn't have to spend the cash on a brace.
  11. Btw. Admin thought I was kidding when I appeared round the corner into view of the rest of em further up the trail.
  12. In service to the mountain. Whilst trail building in Tokai. Shaping a tree stump to form part of the beginning of an off camber corner. Swinging an axe on the horizontal (cutting back what I had chipped off on the vertical) and on the swing in, my knee hyper-extended inwards. Felt and heard the ligaments and meniscus crossing and popping. Caught it in time to pop it back into place with a counter rotation that sounded like a crash-change gone wrong. 3 pops. Pop pop pop. Then the return. That was 30 to 45 mins into the build. I still had to walk back UP the trail to get to the cars. Eina does not begin to describe it.
  13. No bro. It's not. It's the 2nd time this knee has gone. First was a dance floor incident (long story, peppered with vodka) and now this. First was a meniscus. No surgery, natural heal, 6 months till it was "right" again. This felt the same as the first time. Except I felt the ligaments crossing in my knee. Pop pop pop. Just like that. I hope it's not surgery. Cos that ****'s forever. But much like a shoulder dislocation. Once it's popped, it can't stop.
  14. My bike isn't going to be taking me anywhere for the next few weeks / months. Blew my knee out while trail building yesterday, so she's going to a new, temporary home for a while. Crow, look after my baby please.
  15. So then. Now that you admit that. Why do you continue to blatantly ignore the law of the road? Where does it stop? Would you do the same on a moto? In your car? If not, why not? Oh. And you ARE allowed to cycle in the yellow. There is an allowance in the AARTO traffic laws for slower vehicles to move into the yellow lane, in certain conditions, in order to facilitate the safe passing if other faster vehicles are behind.
  16. Precisely. To blame the bike's wheel size is very far from the actual reason.
  17. Add to this - that 29er was NOT a downhill bike. It was an AM/enduro bike with 160mm travel.
  18. No no no. Anthem is a good bike but you'd need to spend 10k to get it to the same parts spec as the axis. Then there are still the wheels. Go for it dude. Can always swap out the frame at a later stage.
