  1. Yes yes and yes. I'm 105 kg and I also ride hard. Any of the 4 following wheels will be strong enough for you. Spank subrosa Ztr flow Wtb frequency i23 Ztr arch ex All are available online through various sources. Oh crap. One q. 6er 9er or 650ber? Subrosa is only sixer. Flow is all 3. Wtb is I think 6er and 9er Anyway. But the hubs and spokes online together with the nipples and let a local guy (tumbles / dangle / whoever) build them or build them yourself. You will get a wheelset at perhaps 60% of the local price, thanks to the distributors ripping us a new one.
  2. Just a bit of advice. Buy your rims (whichever you choose) online and then get the Switch Evos for 1k4 landed, your spokes and nipples for another 500 max landed and ask someone like dangle or those guys to build them. Even if they charge a normal fee for building (up to 500 or so) you'll still get a better wheelset for far less than if you source the components locally. The distributors RAPE us for spoke prices locally. Literally 4 times more expensive per wheel as opposed to bringing in your own spokes from crc / wiggle etc.
  3. 6k8 is a LOT for a hope/flow build dude.
  4. Don't order wheels (full wheels or the hoops themselves) from them. They charge GBP 100 shipping for "large" items, which wheels are counted as. Just order the hubs and spokes and nipples from them. Seriaaaaas. Edit: shipping cost for hubs and small items is ZAR 100 or so.
  5. Speak to Anton (Wyatt Earp / Dangle). He builds a mean set of wheels. Or (and this is what I did) order the spooks and wheels and nipples and hubs, spend a few minutes on YouTube and 4 hours teaching yourself how to build them.
  6. Superstar. Nuff said. Either the switch evo or trizoid. Both cheaper than hope yet modeled on the tech 2 evo. Ordered at www.superstarcomponents.co.uk and will be here in 5 days. Very very good value and very very nice hubs.
  7. Btw. After that berm you see? Rock garden. Boom.
  8. Awesome ride in Tokai with Pain or Shine, DJR, Capricorn and one other. Best ride I've had in aaaages. And here the beasties are getting their post ride chill. While we munch our bacon n egg rolls. Epic trails. Riding really really well now.
  9. Eddy, riding this am at 11 with pain or shine and Capricorn. Edit: in Tokai.
  10. Yeah Mark. I decided not to ride purely due to that wind!
  11. He means the quality of the shock is such that you shouldn't even consider the bike. Shock, not fork. As in the rear shock.
  12. It was more the caption that I ROFLd at!
  13. LOVE this! http://livesniffpetrol.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Raikkodelighted.jpg Kimi Raikkonen being delighted, yesterday
  14. Would have been too big for you anyway, Omega - Patches is a big boy. And the kiddies are kept down by the bikes. So they're all subdued. Till Uncle Patch gets home...
  15. Okay - to those who bought the RaceFace Narrow / wide chainrings - did you receive the call I just did? Buycycle say that the description was incorrect and they are currently out of stock, but the new shipment is arriving on Monday and we will receive our items next week, round wednesday / thursday, at the same price as bought.
