  1. Ja, but how much easier and maintenance free can you get than a good plunger and a kettle? Just made mine. Took less than 5 minutes, and voila! Instant (almost) coffee. I just need to replace my grinder and I can go back to beans instead of pre-ground.
  2. Those frikkin suck, dude. Okay, I know artistic appeal is in the eye of teh beholder, blah blah blah, but still. Basic paint by numbers at best...
  3. okes going around chasing segment "KOM" statuses (King of Mountain) segments and shouting THIS IS STRAAAAVAAAAAAA! Basically, foesse met 'n P/
  4. Which means fireplaces, wine & sexy time... After skiing / snowboarding, that is. Oh - ski trip cost VASTLY over-budgeted. Forgot the sprog would stay here with the grandparents. Awesome. That's a bucketload of extra expense slashed. So now it's just a tax refund and 6 months car payments saved.
  5. Nope. It's possible. My tank is being offloaded sometime soon, and is going to be replaced with something that I buy cash. That frees up an ENORMOUS amount every month, which can be used for holidays etc. Her car is paid of in a year, that's another enormous amount per month. My "salary" carries on increasing above inflation, and we've cut down on costs quite substantially anyway. Then there's tax refunds for both of us, and so on and so forth. In short - not impossible, not even improbable. Just gotta be smart about it, and do it the right way.
  6. LOL. The other condition is that it has to be in the same year as the Morzine trip. And if I'm going, I go properly - so that's R 80k for the trips, combined. Yikes.
  7. LOL. Absolutely dude. Problem is I'm getting out of a hole that someone else dug for me (and yes, I am also to blame) and I'm just starting to see the light at the end. To say yes to the itch would get me back on the way to the bottom again. Priorities. That's what it's about. If I were single, I could survive on baked beans on toast all year. But I'm not, and I can't.
  8. Change the rotors to the ice tech rotors and give them a good, good bleed. I have 5's and the XX floating rotors and although they have limited adjustment (reach only) I would buy another set in a heartbeat. I'm a hefty bloke (101kg dry but 130kg in riding kit plus bike) and they provide perfect braking control. Only time they've made a noise is with the old rotors and recently when I spilled some fluid on the rotors when bleeding and had to clean them with acetone. Noise now gone after 2 rides (rotors clean and free of acetone) I had xx brakes and they were superb. Have tried X0 trails and they were EPIC! If I had the money, it'd be hope all the way
  9. She needs to get outta there dude. But yes. 2015 is the one. Sadly the little money sucker and my wife's fledgling photog business has taken all my tax money this year, so there's no scope for a trip, unless something huuuuuge happens (working on that though) I already have permission (the biggest thing) as long as we book a family skiing trip as well.
  10. Hmmmm. More likely my browser not refreshing properly when changing length on the drop down box. It was 15 min from the original post so my browser is the likely candidate. Either way, they're a great source of droppers.
  11. No they don't. Out of stock... But yes, it's a good ine
  12. Put your hand up in the air, put your hand up, in the air!
  13. Smim, that's pretty much what I run mine at but it was all through trial and error.
  14. guys, guys guys - whether it's 17", 19", 21" or just 16", you should be looking at TOP TUBE length, no seat tube length. A 17" bike with a 610mm top tube will be big enough for most people between 6ft & 6ft3, whereas a 17" bike with a 580mm top tube will not. Taking the seat tube length in isolation is a very bad way to advise on sizing.
  15. THIS. Also can modify the bottle cage mounts for a good entry point. But if you drill, say goodbye to your warranty!
  16. Yeah. KS i 900 / i950 / Superlight are all good, as is the Lev. I've used the Lev before and it was awesome. the normal ones are also good, only real difference being that the cable extends to the seat post head (like the Reverb does) rather than the collar itself. This means that on the Reverb and the non-Lev ks's, the cable moves as it goes up and down.
  17. Best bit of advice yet. I only ever brush my bikes down once the mud has dried..
  18. OOOOH! That looks super mega fun! Up or down? up or down? PLEASE say down!!!
  19. I'm out of touch when it comes to mech parts. But a Mikuni (i assume it's a 40 or 45?) could be round, what? 5k? Going on the cost of injectors here, and they're quite cheap, relatively speaking.
