  1. No worries. You can use the spacers till you get a set of ss specific jobbies.
  2. Nothing stopping you from wrapping them in var tape and changing their position...
  3. To add to the above - you do get SS specific nutsert things from many lbs's. They're shorter and will do the job properly without you having to use spacers (washers) or cut your existing ones down.
  4. You'll have to either use spacers on the inside of the crank (not between the crank and the chainring, but outside of the chainring so that the chain line remains correct) or get smaller fasteners, or cut your existing set down so that they fit.
  5. I second this one. Very decent products and at a yard wide you can trim them down to your exact spec. The shipping, as crow pointed out, is only expensive on wheels as far as I know. Best give them a mail to confirm though.
  6. I actually think it looks very good. Just enough adjustment to make it a viable option, and looks FAR better than any other stationary bike I've seen.
  7. I think the major claim is more stiffness, and the ability to lower the stem stack a bit more than a normal stem. But how a stem mounted to the crown could be stiffer than a stem mounted to a 1 1/8" tube is beyond me.
  8. Nice, hairy! Glad you like the guide I gave you!
  9. Btw: on the rd thing. I found Naas at Evobikes to give the best price and service. By far. And if you order the X9 it comes with free shipping as it's more than a grand.
  10. SRAM X7 or X9 type 2 rear derailleur would be best, but try it with your normal one first. Many of the reports and tests had hardtail a hooked up with a non clutch rd and still had no drops. If you don't have a clutch rd though, chain length is critical.
  11. Just phone them and ask if you can make an arrangement to swap, seeing as you thought you were buying the narrow wide ring.
  12. Or just buy a qualux bleed kit for ZAR 250 that has all the connectors for any brake set, plus 2 sets of syringes. One for mineral oil, one for synthetic.
  13. It really is easy... Just follow the steps on the vid. Seriously. A drunk dyslexic monkey could do it.
  14. Just have a stravasshole battle. You're both that "type" aren't you!?
  15. But agreed on the mutual respect thing. A lot more users in the same space needs a different way of doing things.
  16. Dogs are not allowed in Tokai. Period. If you see them again please take a picture of them and send to me or Pain or Shine and we shall pass on to the relevant person.
  17. Naas is right here. Sauguros are great. More durable (longer life) than schwalbe but then the rr/nn combo grips like stink, and their snakeskin options are better in terms of toughness. Their normal sidewalls are pathetic. Nothing wrong with the sauguros.
  18. That the new Virtue? Looks pretty good. But the norco looks better! ????
  19. Not entirely sure, dude. Deon is away at the moment, but will corner him when he's back and find out.
  20. Was that BMC a Speed Fox or a Trail Fox? Just asking for clarification so others can keep an eye out.
  21. Yeah there's still quite a bit of work to be done, but get done it shall.
