  1. +1. And it's on the carbon bit. The alu bit is the swingarm, and the swingarm only. That little bit of metal that you see pointing out is an alu insert for the BB shell.
  2. As I said previously, in the other thread I'll take your elixirs if you're throwing them aeway!
  3. I really will take your elixir 5's if you're throwing them away...
  4. I hazard a guess that my time would be tallied in hours...
  5. Apparently the Shredder is doing it approx 2m50. But I reckon Snor-boy can do it a lot faster.
  6. rofl. no need to upgrade. just buy gap cover and wait for the 3 month waiting period to expire before you go bos
  7. sorry dude, double post! EDIT: But epic vid, all the same
  8. I think they're on Superstar AMX wheels. 21mm wide. But I could be wrong. The bike isn't mine, just borrowing it.
  9. more of a flow man, really. But then I'm a heavy bugger, and I like the extra strength that they give over the crests. Especially for such a small weight penalty
  10. Good choice on the ZTR's. and re the tires - if you came from crossmarks, all is forgiven!
  11. Dude, I asked you a question. No reason to get defensive and abrasive. I'll repeat the question though: What rim / tyre combo did you go for?
  12. Out of interest, what rim / tyre combo did you go for? oh - and my view on the whole thing is that unless you're going for high volume tires, the move to 650 does not make sense. You should rather just go for high volume 26" tires.
  13. Damn dude, vat 'n chill pill. He's just pointing out that the view that 650 = 27.5 is factually incorrect, and that people who DO want to buy should not be taken in with the marketing schpiel.
  14. yes, if you were running 2.1's on your 650B.
  15. Borrowing a bike with 2.35 Hans Dampfs on them. Damn, those tyres are high volume! They're beeeg. Bigger than my 2.5 minions.
  16. Yeah, but the thing is, they're NOT 27.5" A clipless pedal IS clipless, because it doesn't have those god-awful toe-clips & straps that you used to "clip" yourself into (the road versions had a v-shaped notch that the pedal slotted into) so - it is best to call it 650b. The standard is not a standard is not 27.5"
  17. Unless you do something like the DVO okes have done and attach them with a bridge, as shown in the pics. Agreed that the forks will never be as stiff without a bridge, and that you cannot attach one to the body of the fork due to the wheel moving up and down, but you can attach a bridge to the dropout section and raise it up and over the wheel, a la DVO's attempt.
