  1. Cool, hopefully see you there Mons I'm looking forward to it tonight!!
  2. Was my first time doing the challenge this year and I gotta say it ROCKED  Yes tough, but only because of my "unfit" fitness level. Liked the fact that the route was NOT manicured at every turn.... Well done to all everyone was a great time riding out there!
  3. Nothing!! I have an all black bike and it's damn sexy!! I used to ride a ladies specific bike and later changed to a mens bike and love it. The ladies bike was a lot heavier. I did have to modify it slight by change the stem to a shorter one. I find it a lot easier to handle and easier to ride. Saddles have never bugged me so it's really up to personal choice. I had dual sus on both, hard tails tend to be hard on my back so I chose comfort over being a bit harder to ride. I also find that you tend to get better specs for price when getting a mens bike over a ladies. Find what's comfortable to you and enjoy!!
  4. Sorry we missed you - also did the 30km. Enjoyed it for the most part, good to be back on the bike!
  5. Oh my word!! RIP Burry, My thoughts and prayers go to Cherise and the family. So tragic.
  6. We did the last Sabie lite for our first stage race and it was awesome The 2 days was enough to get tired but not broken
  7. http://www.actionphoto.net/ Seems fine my side
  8. Cool pics Christie, Where can we get the videos that were shot?
  9. Had an awesome ride!! Loved every minute of it - yes even the hiking I had to do up some of those hills!! Well done to the organisers I have to agree with the service. On the most part it was not good, will also do self catering next time. Well done to everyone - especially the single speed guys Does anyone know when the photos will be up and where we could get a copy of the Big foot video footage??
  10. Congrats to you both!! Love the pics and way he proposed So cool!
  11. ...umm... what was the story with the "burning " bike?
  12. Lots of mud and not much racing - only did two laps and wanted to cry at how my bike was sounding so stopped....I'm poor, cannot afford to have to fix a broken bike. It cost our one mate R 1500 to fix his bike after the race....he rode solo. Having an 8 man team also didn't help when the lap times were closer to an hour than 1/2 hour... only did my first lap 6 odd hrs into the race.... Mud was "fun "though - different type of riding skills needed in that.
  13. Good luck to everyone doing the race tomorrow - hope there isnt as much mud as there was at Rietvlei last weekend'- Have FUN!
  14. My sure the hubbers voted more than that by themselves ???
