  1. Hahaha!!!! I just bought no.1 exactly. I have ridden it for 1 week now. I wish I had it in time for Epic this year :-(
  2. Mrs G-Unit organized sponsor, so according to her, training starts tomorrow. USN race in the mornIng after a bottle of red wine. Eish, hanging on for dear life again...
  3. That looks like a rad route! I am so keen for this. Gotta go rob a bank now...
  4. That would never sell...
  5. Not a big fan of AS, but the tour will certainly the poorer for him not being there. Damn shame about Thor as well. He was very entertaining last year.
  6. I certainly hope you're right about Gilbert. He's really exciting when he's on form. But he's been off the pace lately.
  7. On the positive side, those stans spiders are super fun to play with. Keeps me and my kids entertained for hours!
  8. Oh I see... Ja, that could be problematic.
  9. Haha! Copy and paste directly into fears thread...
  10. antonj, why you so deadset on 39/40 for your big chainring. As long as you get your 26, you'll be covered for the climbs. Why don't you go for a 42 or 44 big ring then to cover you on the fast stuff?
  11. Dude, I think most men 'caress' about women! At least I hope so...
  12. I had 819's on my 26' stumpy and in 2 years I never had to true them or replace a spoke.
  13. Damn you auto-correct? If you do get a route, let me know. Would be keen to join.
  14. +1 on the hope hubs (Hope Pro II's)
  15. How about this for an idea - take whatever you would have spent on a new car, divide it by 2 and spend it on a new bike! You'll be saving money and spoiling yourself at the same time.
  16. I think they need to grow a pair. IMO no problem with talent or strategy - they just need a bit more 'houding'.
  17. Feeling your pain! I also get on the scale every morning and watch those grams adding up to kilograms after being lean and mean from Epic training. Need to enter another event. I am convinced that 'too busy to ride' is a fallacy - nothing like a goal and some pressure to get one to work more effectively and find time to train.
  18. I guess that's what being a true fan is all about - backing your man, even if he is a bit of a poef and doesn't stand a snowball's chance :-)
  19. Geez, who is voting for Andy Schleck?? I would say that Franck has a better chance of winning than Andy! Cadel Evans FTW - sure Wiggins has a crazy strong team, bit Evans showed last year that when the chips are down he can do it himself. Remember him chasing down AS's crazy break away in the alps? IMO, Wiggins hasn't showed that he's got that same toughness.
  20. Even if they reduce it to a 20k TT + 6 days of standard marathon distance of +-75k (which i doubt they will do) it'll still be hard and therefore worthwhile. Route launch is on Thursday?
  21. Apart from GBU, is anyone else doing this? I'm quite keen it give it a bash, perhaps with my wife. Gonna see if I can rustle up a sponser.
  22. Tx. You saved me a couple of bucks! :-)
  23. To the OP, are you absolutely sold on a Spaz? In between the 2 fits a SC Tallboy. I recently sold my Stumpy and got a TB. It's incredibly fast, but plush as well. Obviously, I had to sell one of my kids to afford it, but hey, you can't make an omellete without breaking any eggs...
  24. Couldn't be put any better. Spot on advice.
  25. Ja, all in all pretty good. Biggest concern I would say is Steyns poor goal kicking. If he doesn't improve that could bite us in the arse.
