Going pretty well, 1 more week of training, then a week of tapering down before the Knysna MTB & Road! Didn't do quite as many hours as i'd like to but that is mainly because of exams.

Carbon handlebars are the way! For me it's because of the shock absorbance. Feels much lighter on my hands/arms. Booth sells a nice, cheap carbon flat bar.

My perception towards doping has been expanded a little bit. Some things have changed!

Should they change the rules to say "No doping for the fast racers". If you're a weekend warrior, it's all good! Fact of the matter is that it is a RACE. If you're contending for podium or not. It is the organizers responsibility to ensure an even and fair playing field. If you don't want to adhere to the rules(of not taking specific drugs), don't enter the event? Or face the consequences of breaking the rules. How can people complain about the backenders being tested, it's not only the top 20 people that are racing.

I agree that it's maybe a waste of money to test the "backmarkers" but I do think it makes sense. It's not only the best riders who like to ride "competitively" or to challenge themselves. Do you think its fine for "backmarkers" to dope? Say you're racing, in the G bunch, which is a "backmarker" I assume - would you think its fair if the people you are racing against are doping because they're not going for podium anyway... Definitely think its not money well spent, as they are already short on funds, but it's pretty fair - and as someone who isn't going to podium i'm not complaining! "Anabolic steroids, such as stanozolol, have no anti-inflammatory effect, and are used almost exclusively to promote weight and muscle gain. Most side-effects of stanozolol are related to its androgen-type effects (a male hormone)." Yep. I don't know why everyone is saying "bioplus".
