  1. Very nice looking bike. The 80mm Fork will be interesting... They should bring it out in a lower spec though, in the 25k range I think.
  2. Will do my best to try & come support Hopefully the swartland MTB race doesn't take me too long
  3. This is mountain biking!! Going for sure
  4. You crazy bro. Done
  5. Any more info?
  6. Flagged is when someone tags your ride as illegitimate(almost wanna say illegal, but the anti-stravists will have a fit) and then strava removes it. The function is there for ppl who forget their devices on while driving, or maybe the odd 1 or 2 that decide to be funny and go do a section in a car or motorbike. I think Strava is awesome and it has helped me train a lot. I attack those hills nearly as hard as I would in a race, which is something I struggle to do on my own. It's also very cool for tracking your progress.
  7. What an interesting looking frame!
  8. I would be very unkeen! Not taking it too seriously
  9. Awesome! I dream of a dog that I can cycle with... Any idea what kind of a dog that is?
  10. Horrible race... The worst for me was that they just posted the profile from the 2012 Epic Prologue (or so I assume), and didn't even bother to mention to us that they'll be cutting out the last climb (about 6km and 250m ascent). Thinking we still had a climb to finish off, I kept some energy sitting on the wheel of the two guys infront of me up the (now last) climb to the top of contermans, and then when we sprinted down the road to meerendal, I saw everyone stopped and was very confused. Not to mention a car turned infront of me while the 3 of us were sprinting down the road and I had to slow down completely... R170 for that event is a joke. The trails were awesome, but I live here and can go do it when ever I want.
  11. Phil mentioned Cape Town + the argus + Chappies. Man I love the guy
  12. I think weight and "vent"-wise they'll be very similar. It's all down to FIT(hope that doesn't count as OCD...) and looks!
  13. Yep there are many cameras at BP. Also, don't leave your bike on the rack in Stellies unattended! This place is bicycle stealing heaven. I would never take my bike to campus.
  14. Banana + PVM energy bar works really well for me Also the Gu gels are nice.
  15. Pronutro is also gluten free! And feels way more "wholesome" that Futurelife in my opinion.
  16. It is from diet. We build up mucous because of allergies to things such as Diary and smoking. Also bread and sugar. When you cycle it all loosens up and thats why it comes up. Do you also find that when you wake up in the morning you find it lying in your throat? I would never seek medical advice for this, by medical advice I mean go see a GP. It is not something medicine can sort out in my opinion, but rather diet and habits.
  17. Yepyep agree. Edit: dipslick I find it interesting that your name is not written in capital letters...
  18. Does anyone know where I can see the geometry of these 27.5" bikes? Very interested in seeing that. Also for the Merida big seven. Strangely can't find either of these, maybe i'm being blind... Very keen to see the Merida geometry, they tend to have quite aggressive geometries I think.
  19. Really nice read thanks. Getting keen to build myself a chinese 27.5er...
  20. Wondering why you did not include Merida in your list. Merida big 9 XT-M is a nicely priced bike and the geometry is awesome(I think). As mentioned above, the wheelset is a biggie! Often people look at the "face value", being what groupset it comes with but I think the wheels play a big role and often the bikes come with very average wheels but a super groupset, where a good wheelset may well benefit you quite a bit more.
  21. Elitist troll
  22. Science!!
  23. Haha really?? No good
