  1. I have been using Stans sealant with no hassles for the past 6 years and recently swapped to Sludge Uniseal as recommended by Bells cycles.

    Very very happy with it.

And it is basically half the price of Stans.

Got it from Evo. R295 per litre.

It looks like they are out of stock right now though. IMG_20221104_083554.jpg.785da8c71b63d1deaf0ad88f20c29d25.jpg

  2. Excellent service from Bike Market! I was looking for a clamp for my SRAM guide brakes so I put it on MTB do it Downhill on FB... Within 5 minutes, Alex replied that he had one for me at Bike Market.

Within an hour it left the shop on its way to me in Tzaneen / Limpopo!!!

This is the best customer service/care I have experienced from any shop as far as I can remember.

    Well done Bike Market team!!!

  3. So I rode Firehut (a bit lame...) then went to the top and started with Armageddon, then onto Iron monkey and finished with the third part of Status quo. That was NICE.

Then I went back to the top of Armageddon do finish with a full run of that and when at the top I noticed that my front tyre was FLAT.

So I started pushing the bike towards the gate

After about half an hour I met 3 guys going up and they saved my life with a CO2 can that was good to inflate my tyre to 70% of what it was meant to be. I just went back to the gate no problem on the big roads...

  4. Thanks for that.

I think the biggest challenge will be convincing people here to give it a go. I built a bit of a downhill track, and as soon as everyone saw the man-made gap jumps and drops they decided it wasn’t for them, even though I made very tame runs around them (and they’re very small). So I think you’re spot on with your comments below:

I have exactly the same problem here in Tzaneen! The locals think they are going to break their neck on the trails even though I made sure there are safe B-lines all over the place!!!

The vandalised bridge at the Mamba drop is fixed and working better than ever!!!

I can vouch for the trails being amongst the best I've ever ridden.  I was lacking the courage for the gaps, but by far some of the most exciting and flowy trails around.

Thanks for the ride Remi and more so for what you have done and are still doing out there every week to build, improve and maintain those trails.  It is truly remarkable and even more so being your own one-man creation!

  6. Hi guys, the entrance to the trails is on the Agatha road (D523) about a kilometre after the fire station, on the right hand side opposite the landfill site.

I rode yesterday in pristine conditions. Today might be a bit greasy in places after tonight rain...

Let me know when you want to ride there so I can advise you on the conditions/show you around/join you.
