  1. Ok, well if Nancy's kissing girls...I'm there. Yes, been out of the loop for a while as I am sure most are aware. Gary can get me on my usual number as of tomorrow. I love the fact that even when abroad, my holidays can be so screwed up by someone on the Hub. Fiasm....I'm online for 20 minutes so keep an eye out for the mail.
  2. Very sad to see that Clint Hendricks fell badly during the Scratch race leg of the Omnium. Its no secret our guys are seriously off the pace...but just by how much was a big surprise to me. Regardless of that fact, the track events have been incredible. Had it not been for the Aussie, Kiwi, German, Italian and UCI supportersI would be amazed if anyone had been in the stands...
  3. Thats your opinion. Your entitled to it like I said WB.
  4. Yes, I am. Thanks for noting it
  5. Ok, first off this matter is resolved. Done and dusted. I contacted Popeye on friday morning after a conversation with PostNet and everything was sorted from there. I apologise publicly for suspecting Popeye. He is a gentleman and between us there are no hard feelings. I am sure he is available to comment on that. Now, as I have said to several Hubbers over the weekend regarding this matter... I have learned that you have to take the good with the bad. Admin (Matt) will be able to verify this, that I requsted the thread to stay open. Never once did I want it pulled or stopped. I was prepared to sell something Hub, so I must be prepared to take the flak when something goes wrong. Just like I was prepared to take the compliments for the FIAT Ad...I was prepared to handle the cr@p that came my way. You will also notice that I did not jump on here and try to deny anything. Someone mentioned that I must be very "hard skinned" regarding this whole thing...I am, and I was awaiting a decision from an investigation. There was a lot at play that was not aired on the Hub regarding this matter. Bare that in mind. Popeye told me that he was going to pull the thread when it was all resolved...thats why it vanished. I could have asked for its removal long before. I would encourage people to buy on the Hub. Dont judge the Hubs classified capacity based on this experience. The Hub is a fantastic place to get deals. I have bought loads and had a bad experience myself, but it wont put me off buying here. Say what you want about me, I really dont care. I know a lot of you (probably the vast majority) have had a lot to say about me that was less than complimentary and I have noted that. Its your opinion and you are more than entitled to it. Anyway...at least the matter is resolved. Oh, and I want to thank Admin and Linnega for all their assistance.
  6. Hey Mel! (Fiasm) Hope all is well there, and hope your significant other is on the mend. I'm clearly the most popular person on the Hub though!!
  7. Pick me...pick me!!! Everyone else did.
  8. What happened with Joss and Sammajoor? I missed out...
  9. Damn right...I wouldnt buy from GreyOwl2.0 either!
  10. He He! Yip, you are correct VELO...I do have an identical frameset to that! Ferrari carbon fibre Colnago C35!! My pride and joy...never been built up! Its damn heavy...and mounted on my wall!
  11. Doug would never fire Nic and Malcolm...they are his bread and butter. He should make it more lucrative for them to stay... And if they go, big deal. More teams...more interest in cycling. And it obviously means Malcolm will be around for another year. Cool.
  12. Yeah...its great! When are the "Gauteng Gangsta's" gonna hit the track?!
  13. Its Italian for "pedal stupido"
  14. My bike has a default setting built into it...if I engage the easiest gear I hear "Loser" repeatedly until I shift down again. Its irritating!!
  15. I agree with Mampara!!! Put all the fancy stuff on your bikes...you still have to pedal it up the hill anyway. Voice recognition would never work on my bike...I'm usually puffing and panting too much!
  16. In my opinion, Record has no equal. Dura Ace is on par to Chorus, so SUPER RECORD must be fantastical!!! Does it use that new telepathic shift? And feature Mercedes inspired brake radar? I cant wait!!!
  17. Man that is ugly... I do like the down tube shifters though!! I'd like to try those!! (seriously!)
  18. This is a very positive move Gary...nice.
  19. Yip EWEP...they are sitting in the possesion of the track organisers. Just ask Gary to arrange one for you. I hope you guys have a good turnout, and I'm glad to see Gary is willing to get involved.
  20. My problem is that Raliegh change their colours so damn often. I had a C40 Colnago that was a good few years old,but looked just like the newer Colnago's used by Rabobank. To the average guy in the street he wouldnt know the difference between the two. But with Raliegh you know immediately. If its a white RC6000 its a 2005 model... Yellow its a 2008 model. So I think that plays a big part in the bikes appeal. I have an RC6000 hanging in my garage. I'm never compelled or 'moved' to want to ride it. I realise loads of people have them and enjoy them. But given the chance I'm sure everyone would opt for an Italian supercycle...or an American muscle bike...
  21. Oi! Thats wot I said Fire!!! Did you enjoy SA's Fire?
  22. Is it that Jopie character Sheldon? Not sure of his surname...Jopie Hubbert or something???
  23. Its definately Pilditch track...but damned if i recognise the rider!! Good for you Sheldon...
  24. Heres my chance...The only "TIP" I have ever used from Bicycling is this... "In winter, if you are comfortable in the first kilometre of your ride, you are dressed too warmly" I swear by this!
  25. Hey Ianj! Well, I ride on the road in the winter and I have invested a lot of money in the proper gear...but I never stop during a ride. I just feel thats when I get sick...but thats me!
