  1. Its not a dodgy hairstyle Jules, its Italian style! For all we know, Cambiago could be the "Boksburg"of Italy!
  2. Yip...cant fault the Italians.
  3. Sorry to hear and we wish you all the best and will keep him in our prayers. Is there not a camera at the said traffic light?
  4. Buy all new from CWC...they are damn well priced.
  5. Bontrager on both counts! (yep, the Race lites in the latter!)
  6. Good wheels in my opinion...but then they are Campag...
  7. Just think... Assos thermal tights, R1800.00 Cervelo racing bike, R56 000.00 The look on your ride buddies faces when you pitch wearing R9.99 SPAR gloves...Priceless!!!
  8. I think you can get the Black Diamond at Due South...almost certain I have seen them there...
  9. DD! Your a man after my own heart! Fun on the bike...and at home!!!
  10. You know, its funny ut you would be surprised what you can use/save by just being clever when it comes to winter wear. I bought some vests from Mr Price sports, R70...and its the same thing as UnderArmour (but not as cool) for like R400 less. Buy Columbia thermal socks from Due South for like R39 and they are incredible...better than ASSOS at R195. Thermal undervests are going at Due South for R99, and they are the proper thermal goodies that stay dry. Way cheaper than anything you'll buy in bike shops. The best thing I have bought for the winter is a wind jammer. I got myself a Cape Storm jacket about 12years ago and its still great. As long as it keeps the chill off your chest it works in most conditions.
  11. The planets dying anyway...I'm kidding guys! I'm kidding! They are able to be folded up really small and placed in your back pocket. Can be used again and again...and not just on the bike!
  12. Buy those yellow dish washing gloves...R9.99 at any SPAR. You can turf them half way through your ride when you no longer need em. I'm not kidding...
  13. But they said last night on SC that they would be doing highlights on it? Or am I mistaken? That sucks...was looking forward to watching it.
  14. That does not surprise pink dude! I have noticed recently on the R59 highway between JHB and Vereeniging...that there seems to be an increase in vehicles driving without rear lights after dark. I also notice the presence of 4/5 black Nissan Navara highway patrol vehicles...but they are rarely out of the Nando's on Michelle avenue. Disgusting...
  15. I had a mate who would only train flat out. No matter where you went, or what hill it was up we went b@ll$ out. I hated it. I'd usually just sit up when it got too hard and let him carry on. Strange thing is that he never beat me in an actual race. He was always too tired. Seems I did benefit from the intensity...but even more so by knowing when to just go easy! Its like the early morning sat/sun groups out on the Lido...whats up with the sprint to the stop street?!
  16. If you have the cash, hit the Super Record. If you buy the Record, you'll always wish you'd bought the Super Record. Dont listen to the guys who say that there is no difference between the two...trust me there is. I was checking out the new Dura Ace last week, and in my opinion the levers are damn uncomfortable. The old 10spd levers were so comfy...Shimano have gone backwards in that department in my opinion...but the stuff works very well. As Shimano always does. I've never had the pleasure of riding with SRAM...but I hear its really really good. I think you secretly know exactly which one it is you want already ASTANA...and dont let us have the pleasure of choosing your grouppo for you!!! Thats a nice choice to be facing...
  17. You wont go wrong bud. I love mine...
  18. Sounds like the twisty ratchety thing has given up the ghost. I'm no expert...but I have had the same thing happen in the past and it was always explained to me as the ratchety thing. From what I understand its quite easily fixed (I do speak under correction) and there are plenty shops up in JHB that fix them all the time. Rather contact a local (JHB) shop and ask if they can help you. Mail it to them and have it mailed back...I'm sure it can be fixed locally...
  19. I wish I knew... I'm fed up with mine. Every time I replace the bracket it breaks again within 3days.
  20. Fire...surely you can have an individual sponsor? I've been out of the sport for a decade, but I'm sure you can still have an individual sponsor? Wolverine...dude, I hear you. It kills me to say this, but based on what you said...Fire has the greater eligibility in my eyes. I'm sorry. I am like you, in my 30's and past a racing career. But if someone has the chance to do well and benefit from a sponsorship (like Fire) then I'd say its better suited to them. I'm sorry. However, Fire...if you cant wear your sponsored kit, then dont accept the sponsorship. Your club has spent a lot of money to advertise...and unless you can commit to Whasp entirely its not really fair on PornStar. Sorry... But I really like the Campy top!!!
  21. Ja Fritz! Das is correct Ja?! Take it avay, und make it very clear dey are fortunate to have it!
  22. Look, public humiliation sucks...and it should be done in a private manner. But at the same time, if your not up to parr, I'm sorry you need to be told. 10years ago, there was virtually no communication from the selectors to the riders. We simply co existed. So the fact that they are now giving feed back is good. The CSA...NOCSA whoever is selecting need to ensure their athletes are going to perform. But they also need to assist the riders if they are going to make comments like that. I dont think its right to make it public knowledge...but its right to tell the riders personally. My 2c...
  23. True Fritz! If they spoke Swisslish it would be better as well!! We are fortunate to have a dedicated cycling show. The choice is ours to watch it...
  24. LIVE..."I walk the Line"...another Johnny Cash cover! Brilliant!
